Recruitment for Ph.D, M.Pharm, M.Sc to work in research at NIPER

NIPER - Guwahati is the fifth such Institute to be included in the list of premier Institutes under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India. The NIPER-Guwahati started functioning from the month of September, 2008. The Institute is presently housed at the NIPS, Mirza, Kamrup, Assam. The Institute has excellent facilities for advanced Education and Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Presently the Institute is offering M.S (Pharm.) and Ph. D Programmes in three branches and planning to expand further.

Research Associate - I
No of Posts : 03
Age Limit # (Yrs) : 35 years
Emoluments* per month : Rs 36, 000/-
Educational qualifications :
a) Ph.D in Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Biotechnology with 55% marks in Post Graduation of respective field Or M.Pharm / M.S.(Pharmacology) / MVSc or equivalent degree with 55% marks with three years of research experience
b) Three publications in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal as first author.

Senior Research Fellow
No of Posts : 01
Age Limit # (Yrs) : 32 years
Emoluments* per month : Rs 28, 000/-
Educational qualifications :
a) M.Pharm / M.S.(Pharmacology) / MVSc Or MSc (Life Sciences) or equivalent degree with 55% marks with NET qualification.
b) Two years research experience
c) One publication in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal

* The stipend of Research Fellow/ Associate is exempted from the Income Tax under 10(16) of IT Act, 1951.

# Age limit is relaxable by five years for SC, ST, OBCs and physically handicapped on production of suitable certificates from the competent authority. Women candidates are also given relaxation of five years

GENERAL CONDITIONS
a. SRFs and Research Associates are not entitled to DA and CCA.
b. HRA is eligible to SRF and RAs as per central Govt. norms applicable in the city/location where they are working . The fellowship amount will be taken as the basis for calculating the HRA.
c. SRFs and RAs are not entitled to any medical benefits.
d. SRFs and RAs are not entitled to any Bonus and Leave travel Concession benefits.
e. SRFs and RAs are not entitled to any retirement benefits.
f. SRFs and RAs shall be governed by the disciplinary regulations of the host Institute where he/she is working
g. The Director reserves the right to withdraw any or all posts so advertised at any time without assigning any reason.

i. No interim enquiries/correspondence/communication will be entertained.
j. All appointments are temporary and contractual in nature and same is renewable depending upon performance and mutual consent for every year. The candidate will have no right to claim for regularization. All appointments are contractual in nature and on fixed/consolidated pay.
k. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in-interview.
l. The process of selection may include presentation / seminar / test / interview or as to be decided by the Selection Committee. m. Age, Qualification, Experience etc. will be decided on the closing date of application.
n. Downloaded application should be filled and brought for walk in interview along with 1 (one) self attested copies of certificates pertaining to Age, Educational Qualification and Experience etc.
