The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research, is one of the oldest medical research bodies in the world.
Applications are invited on plain paper for filling up one post of Scientist-‘B’ – Non-medical on purely temporary basis under the project entitled “ Wolbachia-based Strategies’’
Post : Scientist-‘B’
Essential qualification: 1st class Master’s degree in Life Sciences from a recognized University with 2 years experience in related field Or 2nd class Master’s Degree with Ph.D in relevant subject from a recognized University Or BDS/B.V.Sc degree with one year experience.
Age limit: 35 years
Salary: Rs. 48,000/- (corresponding to PB-3 Rs. 15,600 -39,100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5400) plus HRA
Duration: The engagement of the individual in the above post will be on contract basis co-terminous with the duration of the project and would be engaged initially for one year but the period of engagement can be curtailed/ extended by the competent authority at the sole discretion.
This post is to be filled up on purely temporary contract basis. The appointment is terminable with one month of prior notice from either side at any time during the duration of the project. The incumbent selected will have no claim for regular appointment. No benefits of PF, LTC and medical claim etc. are admissible.
