Guru Gobind Singh Medical College with 1000 beds Hospital is a Punjab Government institution established in 1973. The Govt. of Punjab, vide its Notification No.8/02/2005-1HB-III/6308 dated31.10.2006 transferred this college to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot as itsconstituent Medical College. The College is recognized by Medical Council of India vide its Letter No.MCI 34941(UG)2010-PUN/35407 dated 22.10.2010 for 50 MBBS admissions per year. The College is permitted increase in MBBS seats from 50 to 100 from the academic year 2013- 14 vide MCI letter No.MCI-37(1)(i-7)/2013-Med/20109 dated 10.07.2013 and permitted to continue with 100 seats in the academic year 2014-15 vide Govt. of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Medical Education Policy-II) File No.U-12012/677/2014-ME (P-II) dated 14TH July, 2014.

Terms & Conditions
1. Upper age limit: Age is calculated as on 01 January 2026. The candidate should not be more than 50 years for the post of Professor and 40 years for the post of Assistant Professor. Relaxation in upper age limit as per Punjab Govt. Rules
2. The University has right to increase, decrease or withdraw the number of posts at any stage without citing any reason or not to fill any or all the posts.
3. The applicant is required after filling online application for the post to submit hard copy of online application and must accompany self-attested copies of certificate i.e. proof of date of birth, marks sheet, degree, experience, residence, category certificate (if applicable), fee receipt proof, publications etc at Recruitment Branch, Room no 102, Ground floor, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Sadiq Road Faridkot upto 17/04/2026.
4. University has no mechanism to check the certificates of candidates who are applying online. If, at any stage certificate of the candidate is found fictitious / bogus or ineligible, the candidature of the candidate will be cancelled and action will be taken according to law.
5. The applications received without fee or without legible copies of documents or apparently containing incomplete information and those received after the prescribed date & time will be summarily rejected.
6. The pay scales / emoluments for above said posts will be given as per Govt. notification for 7th CPC.
7. Pay for the post possessing qualification/eligibility will be as per instructions issued by the Govt. of Punjab vide letter no. 7/204/2012-5FP1/66 dated 15/01/2015 and its amendments issued from time to time by Govt. of Punjab.
8. Only those Government employees shall be eligible to get the appointment letters who are certified by the Head of the Department as not having any pending disciplinary proceedings or undergoing punishment under Punjab Civil Services (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1970, or any other material disqualification in terms of integrity and professional misconduct and necessary NOC should be obtained from the Head of the Department.
9. The certificates / diplomas / degrees issued by non-recognized institutions will not be considered and the candidature of candidates will be declared ineligible.
10. The qualification/experience of candidates should be prior/upto the last date of filling the applications and candidates should have to submit/upload the relevant certificates.
11. Candidates already in service must route their application Through Proper Channel. The applicant should get NOC from the concerned Authority before the interview.
12. No TA/DA will be paid for the journeys performed for the Interview or written test / counseling / document verification etc.
13. Reservation policy as per Punjab Govt. rules.
14. Candidate should select their categories carefully; the category once selected by a candidate will not be changed under any circumstances.
15. If the requisite number of candidates belonging to Mazbi Sikhs / Balmikis are not available, vacancies fallen to their share will be filled by the member of other Scheduled Caste as per Punjab Govt. Circ no. 1818-SWI/75/10451 dated 5.05.1975.
16. Only Scheduled Castes of Punjab domicile are eligible for the benefit of reservation.
17. Separate application/proforma may be used for each post.
18. Application fee of the candidate shall be non-refundable.
19. The candidate must have knowledge of Punjabi language upto matriculation standard or equivalent and in case he does not, must acquire the same within six month of joining.
20. Incomplete application will be rejected without any correspondence.
21. All communications to the applicants will be uploaded on official website only. No separate communication shall be made by the University.
Note:- Wherever suitable candidate is not available, terms and conditions including age & experience of the candidate may be relaxed on the directions of the Higher Authorities.
