NIUM Hiring Pharmacognosist, Analytical Chemist, Biochemist

National Institute of Unani Medicine (NIUM) Bangalore is as an autonomous organization under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India working since 2004. This Institute is being developed as a model of post graduate, teaching, training and research in Unani System of Medicine. The campus now houses an Academic Block, Hospital Building, Library, Pharmacy, Administrative Block, Herbal Garden, Animal House, Guest House, Indoor Games Hall, Hostels, Residential Blocks and several other units.

Eligible candidates are hereby invited for Walk-in-Interview for the positions mentioned below at the campus of National Institute of Unani Medicine, Kamla Nehru Nagar, Hapur Road, Ghaziabad-201002.

Pharmacognosist
Age Limit : 40 years
Consolidated remuneration Per month : Rs. 30,000/-
Education and other qualifications Essential : M. Pharma (Pharmacognosy)/M.Sc. Botany

Biochemist
Age Limit : 35 years
Consolidated remuneration Per month : Rs. 75,000/-
Education and other qualifications Essential : 1. Master’s degree in Biochemistry from a recognized University/ Institution.
2. Five years Research / Teaching experience in Biochemistry after obtaining the Master degree in a recognized Institute/College/ University OR
1. Ph.D in Biochemistry from a recognized University/Institution.
2. Two years Research/Teaching experience in the Biochemistry in a Recognized Institution/College/University.

Biostatistician
Age Limit : 40 years
Consolidated remuneration Per month : Rs. 75,000/-
Education and other qualifications Essential : M. Sc (Biochemistry)/Biostatistics) from a recognized Institution/ University
Desirable : 1. Ph.D in the relevant subject.
2. Knowledge of Hindi/Urdu/ English

Analytical Chemist
Age Limit : 40 years
Consolidated remuneration Per month : Rs. 30,000/-
Education and other qualifications Essential : M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry/Biochemistry/Chemistry

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES APPEARING FOR WALK-IN- INTERVIEW
(i) The duly filled in and signed application in the prescribed Format in person along with the original documents with self-attested photocopies in support of the eligibility in the sequence as indicated below, should be submitted at the time of Walk-in-Interview on 25/03/2026 & 26/03/2026 in the Institute. The Reporting Time for Walk-in-Interview is between 8.00 a.m. - 10.00 a.m.
(a) Prescribed Application Form
(b) Updated Bio-data
(c) Valid Age Proof
(d) Qualifications Proof (Mark sheets and Degrees of UG & PG)
(e) Experience Certificate(s) if any.
(f) Two Recent Passport Size Photographs.
(g) Any other relevant document(s) to support the candidature.
(h) The documents as per the requirement in the eligibility criteria in respect of age, educational Qualifications, experience etc. should be submitted.

(ii) Applicants must follow all the instructions as given in the advertisement and fill up the aform accordingly. They are advised to take utmost care in filling the application and submitting the required documents, as incomplete application and application without proper documents will be summarily rejected.
(iii) Eligibility of candidates in respect of age will be determined as on the date of Walk- in- Interview.
(iv) The Institute reserves the right to make any modification (s) in the advertisement or to cancel the advertisement altogether (either in full or part thereof) without assigning any reason. No Appeal in this regard shall be admitted. Amendment/Corrigendum, if any, in the advertisement shall be published only on the Institute’s website.
(v) The number of the positions as indicated in the advertisement may increase or decrease at the discretion of the Competent Authority as per requirement.
(vi) The Institute reserves the right to verify the claims/documents submitted by the candidates.
(vii) Reservation as per Govt. of India provision.
(viii) The Institute reserves the right to reject any candidate or cancel the selection of any candidate without assigning any reason thereof.
(ix) The engagement shall be purely on Contractual Basis strictly on a monthly Consolidated Remuneration and no appointee shall be granted any claim or right for regular appointment to any position.
(x) The selected candidate should be ready to join the Institute within the stipulated time after the issuance of engagement letter.
(xi) No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for attending the Walk-in interview
(xii) Canvassing in any form or on behalf of a candidate will be a disqualification.

WORKING CONDITIONS
(i) The engagement is on Contractual Basis. The working timings, holidays etc. will be applicable as per the Schedule of the Institute.
(ii) The engaged employee will be expected to work sincerely and maintain good conduct at the place of work as well as in the Institute’s premises.
(iii) The engaged employee shall maintain confidentiality in respect of data, information and record etc. relating to the Institute and shall not utilize/publish/disclose any such data/information/record etc. to any third party without the approval of the competent authority.
(iv) The Institute reserves the right to terminate the services of the engaged employee before the stipulated period without assigning any reason thereof. The engaged employee can resign from the assignment by giving one-month prior written intimation.
(v) The engaged employee shall not be eligible for any Transport/Medical/Travelling/Telephone, Daily Allowance etc.
