The National Institute of Immunology (NII) is committed to advanced research with a view to understand body's defense mechanisms for developing modalities of immune system manipulation that can intervene with disease processes. The institute’s research thrust areas under immunology and related disciplines cluster in four main themes, namely, infection and immunity, molecular design, gene regulation and reproduction and development, where cutting edge research in modern biology is being carried out employing multiple overlapping disciplines of biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology and structural biology.
Applications are invited for the one position of Project Research Scientist -I (Non-Medical) and Project Technical Support-III for the following time-bound sponsored project as per the details given below.

Project Technical Support-III (One position only)
Educational Qualifications : 1. Three Years Graduate degree in relevant subject/field plus Three years post qualification experience or PG in relevant subject/field. 2. For Engineering/IT/CS - Four Years Graduate Degree
Desirable Qualifications : Master’s degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Zoology / Microbiology / Immunology) from recognized university with two years of experience.
Job description : The selected candidate is expected to carry out cancer biology-related work and should have experience in techniques such as MTT, anaerobic bacterial culture, Metabolomics, Metagenomics etc. Candidates with experience in SELEX and aptasensor development will be given preference.
Emoluments : The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute Rules, depending upon qualifications & experience Rs. 28,000/- per month plus 30% HRA (As per norms of the funding agency)
Project Research Scientist -I (Non-Medical) (One position only)
Educational Qualifications : 1 . Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees. Or
2. For Engineering/IT/CS - Four Years Graduate Degree.
Desirable Qualifications : PhD degree in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry from a recognized University.
Job description : The selected candidate is expected to carry out cancer biology-related research and should have hands-on experience in techniques such as ELISA, PCR and NGS alongwith good scientific writing and publication skills. Candidates with strong experience in SELEX and aptasensor development will be given preference.
Emoluments : The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute Rules, depending upon qualifications & experience Rs. 56,000/- per month plus 30% HRA (As per norms of the funding agency)
General Terms & Conditions
1. The candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for one year or duration of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
2. No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.
3. Applicants may clearly mention the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PH and attach documentary proof of the same.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for.
