National Forensic Sciences University, an Institution of National Importance, is a multidisciplinary university and the world’s first and only university dedicated to forensic sciences.
The University invites applications from exceptionally motivated candidates for Scientific / Technical Positions and Non-Academic positions on a contractual basis at its Tripura Campus.
Post : Scientific Assistant (DNA)
Essential Qualification : 1. The Candidates should Not be less than 18 Years and not more than 30 Years.
2. Bachelor's Degree in Forensic Science with relevant subjects in graduation / Biotechnology / Genetics / Molecular Biology / Life Sciences / Biochemistry / Microbiology / or Graduation in Biotechnology / Genetics / Molecular Biology / Life Sciences / Biochemistry / Microbiology from any recognized university or any other relevant subjects from any recognized University or Institute.
Desirable Qualification / Experience : 1. At least six months’ certificate course in Computer Applications
2. Working experience in any Forensic Science Laboratories/ Institutes after graduation
3. Knowledge of English & Hindi
Mode of Selection : Interview Only (≤10 eligible candidates) / OR Written Test + Interview (>10 eligible candidates)
Remarks : The decision of the Competent Authority of NFSU Tripura Campus in respect of all posts shall be final.
IMPORTANT NOTES :
1. Remuneration will be given as per NFSU norms.
2. Engagement-Period :
The engagement for the above-mentioned posts shall be purely on a contractual basis for a period of 11 (eleven) months. The engagement may be extended further based on satisfactory performance of the candidate and availability of sanctioned posts,
subject to approval of the competent authority.
3. The eligibility list and final selection procedure will be notified in due course.
4. Last Date for Receiving Hard Copy Application with Testimonials: 25th March, 2026.
5. Reservation policy as per Norms.

Important note for Candidates
1. It is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure their eligibility before appearing for the interview.
2. Candidates will only be allowed to appear before the Interview Panel subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria and Qualifications in Screening Test (if any).
3. Depending on the number of candidates, interviews may continue till late in the day or may be conducted on the subsequent day. Candidates are required to make their own arrangements accordingly.
General Instructions
1. Experience and qualification will be reckoned as on the last date of submission of application.
2. The University reserves the right to fill or not fill any or all posts without assigning any reason, and no notice will be issued in this regard.
3. Candidates must produce all original documents related to educational qualifications, experience and other requirements at the time of interview. Failure to do so will lead to cancellation of candidature.
4. The University will not be responsible for any communication loss due to an incorrect email address provided by the candidate.
5. No TA / DA will be paid for attending the interview.
6. All communication to eligible candidates will be made only through email.
7. In case of any dispute or ambiguity during the selection process, the decision of the University regarding eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, and conduct of interview shall be final and binding.

9. All documents submitted by candidates must be serially numbered and properly indexed.
10. The terms and conditions of appointment will be communicated through an Offer of Appointment to selected candidates. If the candidate does not accept the offer within the stipulated time, the offer will be treated as withdrawn.
11. Any amendments or changes in the advertisement will be published only on the University website.
