IIT Ropar Call of Applications for Summer Internship Programme 2026

Applications are invited for Summer Internship Programme commencing from 15th May, 2026 to 15th July, 2026 without any fellowship. Internship will be in offline mode. The candidates are required to apply online from IITs, NITs, IISERs, National Labs, Centrally funded technical Institutions, CEAs, Government Universities, Private institutions/Universities. Indian Academy of Sciences, DST Inspire or Similar organization.

The last date of submission of applications is 26th March, 2026 (Thursday).
1. The candidates must select a Research Supervisor in their relevant field of study/ course. They have an option in the form to select at most 3 Research Supervisors.
2. The Candidates are required to do their internship in one department under one supervisor only.
3. Hostel accommodation on a sharing basis will be provided subject to availability on a chargeable basis. The application for accommodation (only after being selected for internship) should reach the office of Dean of Student Affairs through the faculty supervisor and the HOD for permission. The cost towards food, accommodation and access to other amenities have to be paid by the student. Accommodation is only available if a student pursues internship between 15th May, 2026 to 15th July, 2026.
4. No financial assistance will be provided to the candidates.
5. The internship at IIT Ropar will be conducted from 15/05/2026 to 15/07/2026 only.
6. The requests for change in the dates will not be permitted due to logistical constraints.
7. Minimum 8 weeks internship duration is required to issue the certificates.
