Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. At present the Institute has eleven departments, seven inter-disciplinary academic centres and five schools covering all the major engineering , science, healthcare, management and humanities disciplines, offering B.Tech., B.Des., M.A., M.Des., M.Tech., M.Sc., MBA and Ph.D. programmes.

Applications are invited for an Online Interview for the following post(s) in the project entitled, "Development of Indigenous technology for extraction of critical minerals including rare earth elements from overlying strata of Northeastern coalfields" at the department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Guwahati.
Total Amount (Rs.) : 44910/- (Pay Recommended Rs.37,000 + Rs. 6660/- HRA Required + Rs. 1250 Medical Required)
Duration of Appointment in months : 3.5 months (till 14 July 2026)
Qualifications : M.Tech (Chemical/ Mechanical/Energy/Metal lurgical/Material Science/relevant Engineering branches) with GATE score.
MSc (Chemistry / Physics / Biochemistry / Biotechnology/Mate rial Science / relevant branches) with NET/selected through National Level examinations conducted by central Govt Dept. and their agencies / Institutions. (Experience in the relevant topic is preferred)
