Under the National Urban Health Mission, the Health Department of the Latur City Municipal Corporation is conducting a recruitment drive to fill various vacant posts across different categories on a contractual basis.

Qualification : M.B.B.S. or Graduate in Health Sciences (B.D.S./B.A.M.S./B.H.M.S./B.U.M.S./B.P.Th./Basic Nursing / P.B.B.Sc.) B.Pharm. + MPH / MHA / MBA in Healthcare Administration

Terms and Conditions
1) Selection for the posts of Full-time Medical Officer (under NUHM), Microbiologist, and Specialist (under Polyclinic) will be conducted through an interview process for eligible candidates. Conversely, selection for the post of Public Health Manager will be conducted based on a merit-based scoring system.
2) Regarding work experience for the post of Medical Officer, experience gained in both government and private hospitals will be taken into consideration.
3) A waiting list comprising 50% of the total number of posts will be maintained, and a separate list for this waiting list will be published.
4) All the aforementioned posts are contractual in nature and carry a consolidated honorarium; the tenure for these posts may extend up to June 29, 2026. However, should the above posts be sanctioned for the year 2026-27, and provided the candidate's performance is deemed satisfactory, a further appointment for a period of 11 months and 29 days will be granted.
5) As of the date of publication of this advertisement, the upper age limit for MBBS Specialists shall be 70 years.
6) For candidates above the age of 60, it shall be mandatory to submit a certificate of physical fitness issued by the District Civil Surgeon on the day of the interview. Furthermore, subsequent re-appointment orders—following the initial selection—will be issued annually only upon the submission of the said certificate.
7) For the aforementioned posts, it is mandatory to attach the registration certificate issued by the relevant professional council; failure to do so will result in the candidate being disqualified.
8) Based on the number of candidates applying for the posts advertised herein, candidates will be shortlisted for interviews in the ratio of 1:5, strictly based on merit.
9) Candidates who have retired from government service shall be paid their honorarium in accordance with Government Resolution No. Sankirn-2015/Prakra/100/13 dated December 17, 2016, and the guidelines issued by the State Health Society.
10) The posts mentioned above are not posts under the regular State Government cadre; they are purely contractual in nature. Candidates holding these posts shall have no right or claim regarding the rules, terms, and conditions applicable to regular government service; furthermore, standard government service rules do not apply to these posts.

11) Applicants must clearly specify in their application the name of the post applied for, as well as the specific category (caste category) designated for that post in accordance with social reservation norms. It is mandatory for such candidates to attach a Caste Certificate along with their application.
12) In the event that candidates from the required reserved category are not available, candidates from other categories possessing the necessary educational qualifications for the post will be considered based on merit. Such appointments will be granted on a temporary basis until a suitable candidate from the reserved category becomes available.
13) Should the Central or State Government disapprove the concerned post, the candidate's services shall be terminated immediately without any prior notice.
14) For all posts, candidates must attach photocopies (attested by a gazetted officer or self-attested) of the following documents along with their application: Educational qualifications (10th and 12th mark sheets/certificates); all degree mark sheets (from the first year to the final year), including details of all attempts, to facilitate the calculation of aggregate marks; Degree Certificate; Registration Certificate; Caste Certificate; and Certificates regarding Age, Domicile, and Nationality. As proof of age, candidates may submit their 10th/12th certificates, School Leaving Certificate, or Birth Certificate. In cases involving a change of name, it is mandatory to attach a copy of the Government Gazette notification, Marriage Registration Certificate, and a Notarized Affidavit.
15) The applicant must be physically and mentally fit for the concerned post; furthermore, no criminal case or offense should be registered against the applicant.
16) Candidates appearing for the submission of applications or for the interview shall not be entitled to any travel allowance or any other allowance whatsoever.
17) All rights regarding the postponement or cancellation of the recruitment process, or the modification of the recruitment drive—including changes to the number of vacant posts, social reservation categories, or places of posting—are reserved by this office. Furthermore, the Hon. Commissioner and Chairperson of the Selection Committee, Latur City Municipal Corporation, Latur, reserves the right to make changes to the selection process at any stage.
18) Applicants shall not be entitled to request a change of posting location to suit their personal convenience during the contractual period.
19) The application format for all the aforementioned posts has been published on the official website; applications that do not strictly adhere to this prescribed format shall not be accepted or considered valid for the interview process. The dates for submitting applications are from 11/03/2026 to 18/03/2026.
20) Candidates selected following the interview shall be required to submit a formal agreement (Deed of Agreement) on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 100/-, affirming their acceptance of all terms and conditions stipulated in the contract, at the time of joining the post.

21) It shall be mandatory for selected candidates to join their respective places of posting within 7 days from the date of receipt of their appointment orders; failure to do so will result in the termination of their appointment orders, and the appointment shall subsequently be offered to the next eligible candidate on the waiting list.
22) Interested candidates are required to appear for the interview on the scheduled day, bringing along both the original documents and attested photocopies of their educational qualifications, work experience certificates, caste certificates, etc.
23) Candidates selected following the interview shall be under a mandatory obligation to render service for a minimum period of one year.  In the event of tendering a resignation or seeking termination of service prior to the completion of one year, three months' salary must be deposited with this office.


Candidates interested in the aforementioned posts are requested to appear in person, along with all documents pertaining to their educational qualifications, in the chamber of the Hon. Commissioner on March 25, 2026, between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Please note that candidates arriving after 5:00 PM will not be considered. Candidates appearing for the interview will not be eligible for any travel allowance or other applicable entitlements; candidates must attend the interview at their own expense. This interview process applies to the posts of Full-time/Part-time Medical Officers, Specialists, and Microbiologists; for the post of Public Health Manager, a merit-based list will be published.
