Candidates are invited to appear before selection committee in the walk-in-interview for filling up the purely temporary position of one Senior Project Associate in the DBT project entitled “Platform for Measurement of Free Radicals” (PMFR), SAHAJ- RRSFP under the supervision of Dr. Jagadis Gupta Kapuganti, Scientist, NIPGR.
Post : Senior Project Associate (one Post)
Emoluments : Rs. 42000/- plus 27% HRA per month as sanctioned in the project.
Qualification : Candidates having Master’s Degree in Molecular Biology / Biochemistry / Plant Science / Life Sciences /Biotechnology or Bachelor degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized university/institution or equivalent with 60% marks and Four year experience in R&D in academic and industrial or S&T organizations and scientific activities and services OR Doctor degree in Science / Engineering / Technology/ from a recognized university or equivalent and fulfilling the guidelines of DST-OM number SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020, are eligible to apply. The upper age limit of the post is 40 years. (shall be determined on the closing date of receipt of applications)
Desirable Qualifications : Candidates having research experience in measurement of free radicals such as reactive oxygen species, reactive nitrogen species, fluorescent microscopy as evidenced from publication will be preferred.
The above position is completely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship amount for the above position is as sanctioned in the project and as per DBT/DST norms. The appointment will be till the tenability of the project i.e. up to 30/12/2026 (A/N) and the same can be curtailed based on assessment of the candidate's performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one-month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.
Eligible candidates may appear for walk-in-interview at National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi-110067 on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 02:30 p.m. onwards along with the duly filled in application form in the prescribed format. The duly filled application form along with self-attested copies of the date of birth, educational & experience certificates must be submitted at the time of registration at NIPGR from 02:00 p.m. to 03:00 p.m. on March 20, 2026. Any candidate reporting after 03:00 p.m. will not be entertained for walk-in interview. The candidates must ascertain eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. All the candidates are requested to appear for the interview with complete bio-data, copy of publications and original degree/experience certificates for verification. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or otherwise, will lead to the disqualification of the candidate(s).
Note : Incomplete application and those in the wrong format will be summarily rejected. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in-interview.
