Banaras Hindu University is an internationally reputed temple of learning, situated in the holy city of Varanasi. This Creative and innovative university was founded by the great nationalist leader, Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, in 1916 with cooperation of great personalities like Dr Annie Besant, who viewed it as the University of India. Banaras Hindu University was d under the Parliamentary legislation - B.H.U. Act 1915. It played a stellar role in the independence movement and has developed into the greatest center of learning in India.
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for one (I) position of Project Associate II under the research project entitled "Ethnopharmcicological Investigation and Scientific Validation of the Medicinal Plant Tribulus terrestris for its Anti-inflammatory and Anticancer Potential ” (Project Code: P-07/1350).
This project is funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) and will be conducted under the supervision of Dr. Vibhav Gautam at the Centre of Experimental Medicine and Surgery. Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University. Appointment will be governed as per BHU project guidelines.
Essential Qualification : A four-year Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences or an M.Sc. in Zoology, Botany, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Applied Microbiology, or Life Sciences with at least 55% marks. Candidates must also possess either two years of research experience in a relevant field or a PhD.
Desirable Experience : Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on expertise in Natural Product Isolation, HPTLC, HPLC, Cell Culture, and Molecular Biology techniques (including RNA/DNA isolation and PCR/qRT-PCR).
Age Limit : The upper age limit is 50 years, in accordance with ANRF/OM/N-01/2024. dated 14-10-24.
