ANRF Fellowship for Chemistry at Indian Institute of Technology

Applications are invited from the Indian nationals interested in the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on the R&D project titled “Catalytic Enantio- and Diastereo-selective Synthesis of Medium-Sized Bridged Bi- and Tri-Aryls Bearing Central/Axial/Inherent Chirality” sanctioned by Anusandhan National Research Foundation, New Delhi.

Post : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Projects : “Catalytic Enantio- and Diastereo-selective Synthesis of Medium-Sized Bridged Bi- and Tri-Aryls Bearing Central/Axial/Inherent Chirality”
Area of Specialization/ Research : Chemistry, Organic Synthesis
Duration : Initially for one year, with a possible extension of two additional years or until project completion, whichever is earlier.

Consolidated Salary per Month (INR) : 37000/- p.m.+ HRA for JRF

Minimum Qualification and Criteria : 
1. M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Chemistry. 
2. At least 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks in aggregate in Masters from a recognized institute/university as a full-time program. 
3. And Qualified in any of the following National eligibility tests/exams: or equivalent -UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) -level examination conducted by Central Govt. Departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.

Desirable Qualification : 
Organic Chemistry, especially organic synthesis, including asymmetric synthesis.
 Knowledge of spectroscopic methods of analysis for organic compounds.

Upper age limit : 28 years for JRF
Age relaxation : The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/women and physically handicapped candidates).

Important Points
1. The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of the information, other documents, and photographs submitted. 
2. Merely possessing the prescribed qualification does not ensure that the candidate will be called for an Interview. The candidates may be shortlisted based on merit and need for the project. 
3. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by e-mail about the interview. So, the candidate must provide valid e-mail IDs, and phone number information in their applications. 
4. Shortlisted candidates must present themselves for the interview on the interview date with an updated CV and original and attested photocopies of mark sheets/certificates supporting their academic qualifications. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview. The time of the interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates by e- mail. The interview will be held using the online/offline platform. 
5. Candidates called for interview should reach IIT Jammu on their own fund. TA/DA is not permissible to appear offline interview or joining the position if job is offered. 
6. Candidates who are already employed should produce a relieving certificate from their employers if selected. 
7. The last date for receiving the duly filled-in application is 03.04.2026. 
8. The date of the interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates through email. 
9. Candidate must upload all the documents with respect to educational qualification (10, 12, graduation, post-graduation etc. and also experience, etc.
