The Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR), established in 1965, a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) engaged in the Research & Development in the areas of Environmental Toxicology, Predictive Toxicology, Health Risk Assessment, Preventive Toxicology, Inhalation Toxicology, Analytical Toxicology, and also National S&T Missions. IITR has two campuses; the main campus is located at the centre of Lucknow City and the other campus at a distance of approx. 20 km from the main campus. 

Eligible and interested candidates may attend the interview for purely temporary engagement as Project Staff under CSIR/externally funded Projects tenable at CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology research, Lucknow. Research Associate
Essential Qualification : PhD in Biological Sciences from a recognized University.
Job description : The position will involve work using Cell & Molecular biology, animal models, and cell culture to assess the effects of microplastics.
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 47000/+ 16% HRA per month
Upper Age Limit : 40 years (Relaxed upper age limit by two years in case of women candidate s) as per ICMR guidelines
Project No. and title of the Project : GAP-412 “Deciphering the role of microplastics in progression of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) of unknown etiology”

Project Associate-I
Essential Qualification : Master’s Degree in (Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Zoology) from a recognized University
Desirable Qualification : At least 60% marks at the qualifying degree level.
Job description : To carry out biochemical estimations and molecular work.
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 31000/+HRA Or 25000/-+HRA (i) 31000/-+HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. (ii) 25000/-+HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above
Upper Age Limit : 35 years

Technical Assistant (Non-Medical)
Essential Qualification : (i) Master’s Degree in Zoology / Biotechnology / Microbiology or Biochemistry from a recognized University.
Desirable Qualification : At least 60% marks at the qualifying degree level.
Job description : To carry out RNAi experiments with Drosophila and Biochemical estimations.
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 28,000/-+ HRA per month (5% increased salary in 3rd Year)
Upper Age Limit : 35 years

Project Associate-I
Essential Qualification : (i) M.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized University
Desirable Qualification : At least one year experience in relating work.
Job description : Collecting and Testing Environmental samples.
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 25000/-+ HRA per month
Upper Age Limit : 35 years

Senior Project Associate
Essential Qualification : (i) Master’s Degree in (Biotech/ Microbiology/ Environmental Science) with Four years or more research experience from a recognized University . OR Doctoral Degree in (Biotech/Microbiology/Life Sciences) from a recognized University.
Job description : Water & Waste Water Treatment, Bioremediation, Data analysis & Report preparation
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 42,000/-+ HRA per month as per rule.
Upper Age Limit : 40 years
Project No. and title of the Project : SSP-402 “ Assessment of ground water quality of samples collected from piezometer & monitoring wells’

Project Associate I
Essential Qualification : (i) Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or Bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification : MSc / M.Tech in Bioinformatics/Computer Science/Life Sciences. Proven experience in Bioinformatics & Bigdata, AI/ ML / Database development /R&D Work/Publications in respective area.
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 20000/- + HRA per month
Upper Age Limit : 35 years
Project No. and title of the Project : GAP-445 “Development of clinical Data Repositary and Analysis : Platform for disease detection and progrosis”

Junior Research Fellow
Essential Qualification : M.Sc. in Zoology /Microbiology /Biotechnology from a recognized University
Desirable Qualification : At least 60% marks at the qualifying degree level.
Job description :  To do cloning, Molecular Biology involving Drosophila
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 31000/- +16% HRA per month for those (i) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. (ii) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR,IIT, IISc, (as per SERB guidelines)
Upper Age Limit : 28 years
Project No. and title of the Project : GAP-448 “Heterologous expression of human Estrogen Related Receptors in Drosophila: functional characterization and toxicological applications”

Project Associate I
Essential Qualification : Master Degree in Biological Sciences /B.Tech in Biological Sciences from a recognized University
Desirable Qualification : At least 60% marks at the qualifying degree level.
Job description :  Computer Knowledge and good Communicative/ Writing Skill in Hindi & English
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 31000/-+HRA Or 25000/-+HRA (i) 31000/-+HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. (ii) 25000/-+HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above
Upper Age Limit : 35 years
Project No. and title of the Project : NWP-100 “CSIR-Integrated Skill Initiative Phase-2”

Eligible candidates will have to report for interview at 9.00 AM. Candidates will not be allowed to attend the interview after 10.00 am. The candidates have to appear for the interview before the selection committee on the above date and time at CSIR-Indian Toxicological Research Institute, Toxicology Bhawan, 31 Mahatma Gandhi Marg Lucknow 226001. Eligible candidates will appear along with the duly filled application form (which can be downloaded from the Institute's website iitrindia.org) along with attested copies of mark sheets/certificates and latest passport size photograph. The candidate will be called for the interview only if he/she is in possession of the original certificates.

General Conditions 
1. Suitable Candidates may be empanelled for future requirement if any, under different projects.
2. The date for determining age/qualification and experience shall be the date of interview.
3. The period of experience in a discipline/area of work, wherever prescribed, shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualifications prescribed for that Post.
4. The above positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the aforementioned projects.
5. The engagement in these projects will not confer any right implicit or explicit on the candidate for consideration for regularization against any CSIR/IITR post(s).
6. The number of positions against the various projects can vary at the time of selection depending on the requirement of the institute.
7. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
8. No correspondence will be entertained through any medium regarding the advertisement.
9. Candidates must bring their original educational/experience certificates with them. Otherwise, they will not be allowed in the interview.
