Jamia Millia Islamia, an institution originally established at Aligarh in United Provinces, India in 1920 became a Central University by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1988. In Urdu language, Jamia means University, and Millia means National. The story of its growth from a small institution in the pre-independence India to a central university located in New Delhi—offering integrated education from nursery to research in specialized areas is a saga of dedication, conviction and vision of a people who worked against all odds and saw it growing step by step. They built up the Jamia Millia stone by stone and sacrifice by sacrifice, said Sarojini Naidu, the nightingale of India.

Application are invited for the position of one JRF under the project entitled “Assessment on the modulation of Anticancer activity of Standard Cancer Drugs by Nutraceuticals and Unani drug in colorectal cancer” from Indian citizens having M.Sc. in any area of Life Sciences/Pharmacy/ Pharmacology / Medicine including Unani/Indian system of medicine with not less than 55% marks. The candidate must have qualified UGC-CSIR JRF/NET/GATE/other equivalent national examination.
Candidates having experiences in area of animal Cell culture and Molecular techniques shall be preferred. The selected JRF shall be permitted to get him/herself registered for PhD degree. The fellowship, however, will be for three years and co-terminus with the project. Shortlisted candidate shall be communicated through E-mail for the interview date and time.
The selected candidate will receive the fellowship initially @31000-/+permissible HRA for first two years and @35000-/+permissible HRA in third year after promotion to SRF.
