The Birla Institute of Technology & Science, BITS Pilani is an all-India Institute for higher education. The primary motive of BITS is to "train young men and women able and eager to create and put into action such ideas, methods, techniques and information". The Institute is a dream come true of its founder late Mr G.D.Birla - an eminent industrialist, a participant in Indian freedom struggle and a close associate of the Father of Indian Nation late Mr. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (Mahatma Gandhi). What started in early 1900s as a small school, blossomed into a set of colleges for higher education, ranging from the Humanities to Engineering until 1964 when all these colleges amalgamated to culminate into a unique Indian University of International standing.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for Junior Research Fellow to work on a research project sponsored by DST-SERB, under the supervision of Dr. Arti Dhar, Department of Pharmacy, BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus.

Title of the project : Therapeutic Potential of novel dual acting peptide NPA7 in Hypertension and associated renal complications.
Duration of the project : 3 years Project
Fellowship amount : Rs. 31,000/month

Eligibility requirements:
1. M.Pharm (Pharmacology) with hands-on experience in establishment of disease models.
2. Candidates with minimum of one-two years of pharmaceutical industry experience will be given preference.
3. Experience in cell culture studies and animal handling would be an added advantage.
4. In addition, good oral and written communications skills are highly desirable.

Please note that only qualified and suitable candidates will be called for the interview to be held at BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad Campus through online mode. Selected candidate may be permitted to register for Ph.D. programme of BITS, Pilani, subject to the fulfillment of the requirements.
