The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) is the state of art of R&D wing of the Tata Memorial Centre. It is located in the picturesque settings at the foot hills of the Sahyadri mountains in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. ACTREC comprises of, the Cancer Research Institute (CRI), Clinical Research Centre (CRC) and Centre for Cancer Epidemiology (CEC), a setting that is unique in India and built and evolved with a vision to provide comprehensive cancer care to one and all, through its motto of excellence in services, education and research.
Post : JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (1 Post)
Project Title : Molecular genetic analysis of clinically high risk oral leukoplakia to identify potentially high risk lesions
Minimum Qualification : M.Sc degree (2 years course) in Life Science or related subjects (Bio-technology, Microbiology, Medical genetics, Life sciences, Biochemistry, Zoology etc). Candidates with additional research experience will be given preference.
Experience : Good acquaintance / first-hand experience in with molecular biology techniques such as DNA RNA extraction from human/ animal tissues & tumors, PCRs (including qPCR), western blotting, Immunohistochemistry is strongly desirable. Candidate should also should be proficient in maintaining patient records using EXCL / SPSS.
DURATION : Six months the work progress of candidates will be monitored and extension after 6 months will depend on quarterly evaluation of performance.
