Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), a National Institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India invites applications for contractual positions of Scientist Fellows. The main mandate of IBSD is Conservation and Sustainable Utilization of Bioresources for the socio-economic Development of the North East Region of India, which is a genetic treasure trove of plants, animals and microbial resources.

Research Associate (01 posts)
Duration of the project : 3 years or till the completion of the project whichever is earlier
Fellowship : Rs. 47,000/- + 8% HRA per month
Qualification : Ph.D degree. Subject area: Biotechnology / Life Science / Botany / any other relevant discipline
Junior Research Fellow (02 posts)
Duration of the project : 3 years or till the completion of the project whichever is earlier
Fellowship : Rs. 31,000/- pm + 8% HRA for the 1st two years and Rs. 35,000/-pm + 8% HRA for the 3rd year for SRF and applicable only if JRF / SRF is NET / GATE / DBT-BET qualified otherwise it shall be Rs. 12,000/- pm + 8% HRA for the 1st two years and Rs. 14,000/-pm + 8% HRA for the 3rd year for SRF
Qualification : M.Sc Subject area: Biotechnology / Life Science / Botany / any other relevant discipline.
Desirable: NET / GATE / DBT-BET qualified candidates
Field Worker (03 posts)
Duration of the project : 3 years or till the completion of the project whichever is earlier
Fellowship : Rs. 18,000/- + 8% HRA per month.
Qualification : Graduate Subject area: Biotechnology/Life Science/Botany/ any other relevant discipline.
1. The above positions are purely temporary and co- terminus with the project. Selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointment either in IBSD, Imphal and its branches or DBT, New Delhi.
2. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
3. The upper age limit for Research Associate shall be 35 years and 28 years for Junior Research Fellow, Data Entry Operator and Field worker (relax able for reserved categories a per GoI norms).
4. Eligible candidates may appear for walk-in interview with all original and self attested copies of certificate at 09.30 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. on 27th March, 2020.
5. Interim queries will not be attended.
