The history of Jamia Hamdard begins with the establishment of a small Unani clinic in the year 1906 by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, one of the well-known practitioners of Unani System of Medicine of his time. Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed had a vision of making the practice of Unani Medicine into a scientific discipline so that Unani medicines could be dispensed in a more efficacious manner to patients.

Post : Project Fellow

Applications are invited for the post of PROJECT FELLOW (one) in the Department of Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry, School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi under the University Grants Commission Special Assistance Program (SAP) at the level of DRS Phase – II sanctioned vide letter number F.3-19/2015/DRS-II (SAP – II) dated 12/06/2018.

Minimum Essential qualification : The applicant must have M.Pharm degree in Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry or Pharmaceutical Biotechnology with a minimum of 55% marks for general category (50% in case of SC/ST/PH). Age should be below 40 years at the time of appointment.

Salary/ Fellowship will be admissible as per norms of UGC-SAP. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the scheme. The appointment will be initially for a period of one year, extendable up to 5 years depending on release of grant from UGC and satisfactory performance of the fellow.

Desirable: Prior experience in cell culture/ in vitro experiments.
