The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research, is one of the oldest medical research bodies in the world. As early as in 1911, the Government of India set up the Indian Research Fund Association (IRFA) with the specific objective of sponsoring and coordinating medical research in the country. After independence, several important changes were made in the organisation and the activities of the IRFA. It was redesignated in 1949 as the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) with considerably expanded scope of functions.
Post : Research Assistant (RA)
The post is to be filled up under the extramural project entitled, “Creating supportive system for the effective management of Intellectual Property Rights and Translation Research activities of the Indian Council of Medical Research” funded by Indian Council of Medical Research, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi – 110 029.
Consolidated salary: Rs. 31,000/-per month
Qualification Essential : Master’s degree in Life Science with at least 3 years experience in research and/or IPR related work.
Desirable: I. 2 Years experience in handling the data on biological patents II. Knowledge of using of patent data bases
Age: Up to 30 year (relaxation as per Govt. of India rules)
The selected candidates shall work in the Intellectual Property Rights Unit of the ICMR-

They should bring along with them five photo copies of their Curriculum Vitae and all other certificates/ testimonials and original and report to Sr. A.O. (IPR/ITR) (Room No. 206) at 9.00 A.M.
