The Pharmacy department of BITS Pilani is one of the few early schools of Pharmacy in India. Established in 1950, under the able leadership of (Late) Prof. M. L. Schroff, Father of Pharmacy Education in India, it blossomed into one of the most sought after Schools of Pharmacy in India due to its broad-based education system and university-industry linkages, which is the hallmark of BITS, Pilani. In the year of 2011, the Department of Pharmacy has completed 60 years of its existence as a premier ins titution in the field of Pharmacy Education and Research in India and abroad. Alumni are well placed in India as well as abroad in various pharmaceutical companies, government organizations like drug control, research laboratories, etc., and in several well-known academic institutions.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on the following project sponsored by Department of Science and Technology-SERB (DST - SERB), under the supervision of Dr. Onkar Kulkarni, Department of Pharmacy, BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus.

Title of the project: “Role of interleukin-22 in diabetic wound healing and regeneration”

Duration of the project: 36 months

Project position and number: JRF, 1

Fellowship amount: As per the allotted funding by DST

Eligibility requirements:
- Possessing M.Sc/ M.Pharm (Pharmacology, Pharmacy) + GATE (GPAT) qualified or having 2 years of research, teaching experience after MS/ M.Pharm degree. 
- Age limit maximum 35 years
- Relaxation of age limit as per DST rules

Please note that only qualified and suitable candidates will be called for interview to be held at BITS - Pilani, Hyderabad Campus in the First week of April, 2016 and no TA/DA will be paid for the interview. Selected candidate may be permitted to register for Ph.D programme of BITS - Pilani, subject to the fulfillment of the requirements.
