National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research inviting applications from M.Pharm candidates for post of Junior Research Fellow

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Government of India has declared NIPER as an 'Institute of National Importance'. It is an autonomous body set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. The Institute is conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and related areas not only within the country, but also to the countries in South East Asia, South Asia and Africa. NIPER is a member of Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities.

Post: Junior Research Fellow

Applications are invited for two positions of Junior Research Fellow under a project entitled “Nanocrystalline solid dispersions of polyphenols (Curcumin and Hesperein) with enchanced oral bioavailability for cancer treatment”, sponsored by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), New Delhi under the supervision of Prof. Arvind K. Bansal.

Salary: 18,000/- p.m. (+HRA if applicable),

EQ: M.S. (Pharm.) in Pharmaceutics; M. Pharm in Pharmaceutical Technology (Formulations). Candidates should have cleared the GPAT examination. Selected candidate may be considered for registration in Ph.D. program, as per rules of the institute.

Age Limit: 30 years (age relaxation of SC/ST/Ph as per GOI rules).

The duration of the project is 03 years. The walk-in-interview will be held on 9.3.15 from 4:00 pm onwards. in the Conference Room No. 310, Department of Pharmaceutics. Reporting time for the candidates at the above venue is 0345 pm. Candidates should bring an application with detailed bio-data, at the time of interview, giving details of educational qualification, experience (if relevant) with name of the Institute, post held, etc. Name and contact details of at least two persons, who can be contacted for recommendation, should also be included.

Application should be accompanied by demand draft for Rs. 50/-(Rs, 25/- for SC/ST/PH) in favour of Director, NIPER”, drawn on any scheduled bank payable at Mohali/Chandigarh.
