Minimum qualifications Essential : Four years Bachelor's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / BVSc / В.Pharm or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine or from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable : Have 1-year project experience in a. Synthetic / medicinal chemistry (or)
b. Natural products area including metabolomics and pathways As PA-I, he/she will assist the group in setting up experiments and will take care of all the activities associated with the project. The PA-I will work under the close supervision of the PI to carry out the proposed research and work towards the timely completion of the project. They will actively comply with all institutional policies mandated for research personnel at IISER Tirupati.
Fellowship : I. INR 37,000/- + 10% HRA to Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests -CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
II. INR 30,000/- + 10% HRA for others who do not fall under (I) above.

Tenure : The position is temporary and renewable after six months, subject to satisfactory performance. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

GENERAL INFORMATION / DETAILS ABOUT THE POST
1. The appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation on the termination of the research project.
2. The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment/absorption in the Funding Agency or in IISER Tirupati.
3. Appointment of the applicant will be governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency particularly applicable to the said project.
4. The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities / Institutions.
5. The prescribed educational qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitled candidates to be called for an interview. Where the number of applications received in response to this advertisement is large, it will not be convenient or possible to interview all the candidates. Based on the recommendations of the Screening Committee, the Project Leader may restrict the number of candidates for the interview to a reasonable limit after taking into consideration the qualifications and experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. Therefore, it will be in the interest of the candidates, to mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field at the time of applying.
6. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview.
7. Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer.
8. The number of posts indicated may increase or decrease as per the Institute requirement.
9. No interim enquiries/ correspondence/ communication of any sort will be entertained on the matter.
10. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing any influence, political, or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification for the post applied for.
11. Candidates selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program of IISER Tirupati, provided they satisfy eligibility criteria.
