In view of the updates as per Government Resolution No. Sankirna-2025/E-860421/Vishi-1 dated 11th February, 2026, Item No. 7 of the 39th Board of Governors (BoG) dated 05th June, 2026, Item No. 9 of the 36th Board of Governors dated 18th February, 2025, as per the roster approved by the Government of Maharashtra No. Sankirna- 2026/pra.kra.37/E.No.-1545418/TE-2, dated 09th March, 2026 and subjected to the approval of the Samantar Arakshan and Department-wise Post Distribution by the Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor approved the advertisement for publication in the National Level (English) newspaper and State Level (Marathi) newspaper, and it was published on 09th June, 2026. The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai, is issuing this re-advertisement for regular teaching positions on a permanent basis, and the Minimum Qualifications and Pay Scales for the appointment of Teachers are as per the Government Resolution No. Saveaa-1111/pra.kra.44/19/TE-2, dated 11th September, 2019. 

Further, candidates who had applied earlier in response to the previous advertisement No. ICT/Main Campus/Faculty Recruitment/159, dated 23rd February 2024, requires submission of a new application on the E-Samarth Recruitment Portal in accordance with the Government of Maharashtra norms. They will have to submit a new online application and two hard copies of their application, along with supporting documents.

Eligibility criteria for the post of Professor – 
Qualification and Experience – a. i) For appointment in the related branch of Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy, the candidate should possess a first class or equivalent either at Bachelor’s Degree or at Master’s Degree in the relevant field of employment in Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy areas 
ii) For appointment in the related field of science, the candidate should possess a first-class or equivalent at the Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in the relevant field. And 
b. possesses a Ph.D. in the relevant field of Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy / Sciences and 
c. have a minimum 13 years of experience in teaching/research/industry, out of which at least 3 years shall be at a post equivalent to the Associate Professor and d. have published at least 15 research publications as first or corresponding author or with their own Research Scholar as an author in SCI Journals or Scopus-indexed Journals with a cumulative impact factor of 40 as per Thomson Reuters reports or equivalent database. Or have independent involvement of at least 5 years related to quality upgradation/quality assurance with National level certification in the field of related industrial production processes. And 
e. Should have successfully guided 2 (two) Ph.D. students as an Associate Professor or should have ample documentary evidence of involvement in project implementation or worked as industry experts / external examiner/research project reviewer with academic Institutes of repute at the Master’s / Ph.D. level or with industries as Lead Project Coordinator or equivalent for at least 3 years and 4 must have working experience in the implementation of commercialization process of Developed Technologies at the industrial level. 
Age Limit : Unless already in the service of the Institute / Government / Semi-Government organizations, not more than 55 years of age, which may be relaxed on the recommendation of the scrutiny/selection committee in favour of candidates with exceptional qualifications and experience. Age will be calculated as of the date of the previous advertisement No. ICT/Main Campus/Faculty Recruitment/ 159, dated 23rd February 2024.

Eligibility criteria for the post of Associate Professor
Qualification and Experience – 
a. i) For appointment in the related branch of Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy, the candidate should possess a first class or equivalent either at Bachelor’s Degree or at Master’s Degree in the relevant field of employment in Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy areas 
ii) For appointment in the field of Management, a candidate should possess a first-class or equivalent degree either at Bachelor’s Degree in any branch of Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy or at Master’s Degree in any branch of Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy/Management 
iii) For appointment in the related field of science, the candidate should possess a first-class or equivalent at the Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in the relevant field. And b. possesses a Ph.D. in the relevant field of Engineering/ Technology / Pharmacy / Science / Management and c. have a minimum 8 years of experience in teaching/research/industry, out of which at least 3 years shall be at a post equivalent to the Assistant Professor and a. have published at least 10 research publications as first or corresponding authors or with their own Research Scholar as an author in SCI Journals or Scopus-indexed Journals with a cumulative impact factor of 25 as per Thomson Reuters reports or equivalent database. Or have independent involvement of at least 3 years in Industrial Management related projects OR have independent involvement of at least 3 years related to quality upgradation/quality assurance with National level certification in the field of related industrial production processes. Or have published at least 10 research publications/ book chapters published by a publisher in UGC Care Publications Journals/Peer-reviewed journals for appointments in the field of Management / Languages And d. Should have successfully guided 1 (one) Ph.D. student as an Assistant Professor or should have ample documentary evidence of involvement in project implementation or worked as industry experts / external examiner/research project reviewer with academic institutes of repute at the Master’s / Ph.D. level or with industries as Lead Project Coordinator or equivalent for at least 2 years and must have working experience in the implementation of commercialization process of Developed Technologies at the industrial level/ including Management Practice / relevant field of Management. 
Age Limit
unless already in the service of the Institute / Government / Semi-Government organizations, not more than 50 years of age, which may be relaxed under the recommendation of the scrutiny/selection committee in favour of candidates having exceptional qualifications and experience. Eligibility criteria for the post of Assistant Professor
Qualification and Experience –
i) For appointment in the related branch of Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy/Languages, the candidate should possess a first-class or equivalent degree either at Bachelor’s Degree or at Master’s Degree in the relevant field of employment in Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy/ Languages areas. 
ii) For appointment in the field of Management, a candidate should possess a first class or equivalent either at Bachelor’s Degree or at Master’s Degree in the relevant field of employment in any branch of Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy or at Master’s Degree in any branch of Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy/Management 
iii) For appointment in the related field of Sciences, the candidate should possess a first-class or equivalent at Bachelor’s Degree and at Master’s Degree in the relevant field. And 
b. i. For appointment in the related branch of Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy / Sciences / Languages, the candidate should possess a Ph.D. in the relevant field of Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy / Sciences / English or

(9) Candidates belonging to the reserved categories specified by the State Government of Maharashtra only shall be considered for the post reserved in this advertisement. The candidates from the reserved category who are domiciled outside the State of Maharashtra will be treated as Open Category candidates, as per the Maharashtra Government GR No. CBS-1290/23116/Pra.Kra.378/Mavak 5, Dated 24th August, 1995.

Details of Qualifications / Equivalence
i. Instructions
1. Candidates must read all the instructions before filling out the online application form using the prescribed “Format of Application” available on the University website ictmumbai.edu.in. Candidates must ensure that no column in the application form is filled in incorrectly, as the information furnished therein will be used to determine the eligibility and suitability of the Candidates for being called for the interview and/or selection. Applications filled in incorrectly, incompletely, or not as per the instructions are liable to be rejected, and the responsibility for such rejection will be on the candidate himself/herself. 
2. The applicant is required to submit the application online and two hard copies, along with all relevant documents, to the ICT by the stipulated date and time. 
3. A separate application (along with the non-refundable application fee and all relevant documents) should be submitted for each post category applied for. 
4. Relaxations in qualification shall apply as per the Maharashtra Government. / UGC norms. 
5. The educational qualifications prescribed for a given post are the minimum, and mere possession of them shall not entitle a candidate to be called for an interview. 
6. Candidates who do not have a formal Master’s degree but have earned their Ph.D. (integrated) directly after a Bachelor’s degree shall be evaluated through the course credits earned during their doctoral work. 
7. If a Class/ Division is not awarded at the Bachelor’s/ Master’s level, a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to First class/ division. If a Grade Point system is adopted, the CGPA will be converted into equivalent marks. 
8. The candidate/applicant should be able to read, write, and speak Marathi as per the Maharashtra Government GR No. Bhasha-2018/Pra.Kra.50/Bhasha-1, dated 14th March, 2024.

Important points to note before filling out the Application Form : 
1. The online application form is available on the ICT website ictmumbai.edu.in at the portal URL :ictmumbairec.samarth.edu.in/ from 22nd June, 2026. The Candidates are required to submit an online application form along with supporting documents on or before 13th July, 2026 before 5.30 pm.
2. The PDF printouts (2 copies) of the online application, along with self-attested supporting documents, must reach the Institute on or before 16th July, 2026, before 5:30 pm at the following address.

3. The application non-refundable fees of Rs. 1000/- (for General Category) and Rs. 500/- (for candidates belonging to reserved categories of the State of Maharashtra), to be paid online before submitting the online application form. 
4. Candidates employed in Government, Semi-Government, Private, etc., organizations must submit their applications through the proper channel, along with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their present employer, on or before the interview date. If unable to produce the NOC at the time of the interview, the past service will not be counted as experience for pay protection/service counting.
5. The services of the appointed candidates can be availed by the Institute at any of the Off-Campuses if required. 6. Applications incomplete in any respect, without required supporting documents or those submitted after the last date of receipt, will not be considered.

8. As per the Notification No. SRV.2000/CR (17/2000) XII, dated 28th March 2005, issued by the General Administration Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai, a candidate shall submit the declaration of the small family in the prescribed proforma attached to the application form.
9. The candidates belonging to the categories VJ (A), NT (B, C, D), and OBC should submit a Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued on or after dt. 01st April, 2026 by the competent authority for the claim under reservation. Reservations applicable to the VJ (A) and NT (B, C, D) categories may be interchanged in accordance with Government Policy, provided the candidates are within the prescribed merit limits for selection. However, Women’s Reservation will be applicable as per the Government Resolution dated 25th May, 2001. The Non- Creamy Layer certificate is not essential for women, according to Government Resolution No. 2023/Pra.Kra.123/karya-2, dated 04th May, 2023. 
10. The above data on caste reservations is subject to change in accordance with any government policy changes (if any) related to caste reservations in the education sector. 

11. The candidate’s age shall be considered as of 23rd February, 2024, as per the earlier advertisement. 
12. The decision of the appointing authority will be final and binding on applicants, and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. 
13. No correspondence will be made with ineligible candidates. 
14. Candidates called for an interview will have to remain present at their own expense. 
15. Candidates should invariably provide information regarding court cases, pending criminal cases, disciplinary actions, or equivalent, in the relevant column of the application form. In such cases, the ICT reserves the right to consider or not to consider the candidature for recruitment. Any changes in this information as and when occurred after the submission of the application form till the date of the selection committee meeting for the recruitment process should be brought to the notice of the Institute by the candidate, failing which the Institute reserves the right to cancel the candidature and to debar them from the selection process. 
16. Any dispute related to this advertisement is subject to the jurisdiction of the Mumbai HC only. 
17. Applicants who have earned degrees from foreign universities are required to submit an Equivalence Certificate issued by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. The ICT reserves the right to request an Equivalence Certificate for various degrees from any applicant. 
18. The minimum probation period shall be one year, extendable by up to one additional year in the event of unsatisfactory performance. 
19. As per the Govt. Resolution No. Aniyo-1005/126/Seva-4 dated 31st October, 2005, has made a new “Defined contribution pension scheme” applicable to Govt. servants recruited on or after 01st November, 2005. The same will be applicable to employees of this University. 
20. The number of posts or reservations for the posts may vary. 

21. Applications incomplete in any respect will be liable to be rejected. 
22. The University reserves the right to fill or not fill the advertised posts, or to modify / alter / cancel the advertisement, if no suitable candidate is found. 
23. On any matters related to the current advertisement and in the subsequent process of selection, any decision and/or interpretation of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Institute of Chemical Technology, Matunga, Mumbai, shall be final. 
24. The University shall not be held responsible for the postponement or cancellation of a scheduled interview due to unforeseen/unavoidable circumstances.

29. The applicant is to submit two hard copies, completed in all respects, along with a synopsis and the necessary documents, duly self-attested. The application form should be sent in an envelope superscribed as “Application for post of __________________ (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor) for the subject _________ Category _______” so as to reach “The Registrar, Institute of Chemical Technology, Matunga, Mumbai” on or before 16th July, 2026 up to 5:30 pm.

30. Candidates must attach the self-attested photocopies of the following supporting documents with pritouts of the submitted application form: a. Documents for administrative scrutiny – 
1. Document in support of Date of Birth. 
2. Copy of the Government Gazette or any other appropriate certificate in case of a name change. 
3. Small family declaration 
4. No objection certificate from the present employer, if applicable. 
5. Caste certificate and Caste Validity Certificate issued by the component authority if the candidate belongs to any of the reserved categories, namely, SC/ ST/ VJ NT-A/ NT-B/ NT-C/ NT-D/ OBC/ SBC/ EWS. 
6. The valid Non-creamy layer certificate for the candidate belonging to the VJ, NT-A, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D, OBC, SEBC and EWS categories, issued by the component authority. 
7. Physically Disabled Certificate from the competitive authority, if applicable

1. Photocopies of mark sheets and certificates supporting the educational qualifications from SSC and onwards. 
2. Photocopies of appointment order letters. 
3. Photocopies of Certificate of teaching experience and/ or Post Doctoral Research/ Industrial Experience, etc. 
4. All related documents to prove claims with regard to guideship for Post-Doctoral Fellow/ Ph.D. / Master / Undergraduate students, certificate courses, refresher courses, additional qualifications, publications (Google Scholar Link only), research papers, patents and commercialization of technologies in soft/hard copy if applicable. 
5. All the photocopies of the documents must be self-attested.
