Openings for Pharmacist at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital

Candidates must possess a Diploma in Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education or a Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized university.

Pursuant to the approval (No. MGC/F/6647 dated 30.05.2025) granted by the Hon. Municipal Commissioner, various posts listed below at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital are to be filled strictly on a contractual basis. Applications are invited from candidates possessing the requisite educational qualifications and eligibility criteria as specified in this advertisement on the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's website

Qualification : 1) Candidates must possess a Diploma in Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education or a Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized university. 
2) Candidates must be registered with the Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council.

Age Limit : The candidate's age must not exceed 38 years.

Selection Criteria and Procedure
1. A merit list of candidates will be prepared based on the prescribed educational qualifications for the post and the marks obtained in the interview. A selection list will be drawn up from the candidates on the merit list.  
2. Interview Venue, Date, and Time : Candidates will be informed via the email address provided in their application two days in advance. 
3. Application Fee :  Rs. 870/- + 18% GST (Rs. 157/-) = Total Rs. 1027/-  
This fee is non-refundable and will not be refunded under any circumstances.

General Conditions
• The candidate's mobile number, e-mail ID, and correspondence address (including PIN code) must be clear and complete.
• Before issuing the contractual appointment to eligible candidates, a character certificate obtained from the concerned police station must be submitted.
• Candidates must disclose information if they have been convicted by any court for an offense involving moral turpitude or a criminal case, or if any police inquiry or court case is pending against them (or if they have been convicted).
• Candidates must attend the interview at their own expense.
• If a candidate submits incorrect information, certificates, or documents, or if it is discovered that information has been withheld—either during the selection process or after appointment—their candidature will be cancelled. Furthermore, if the appointment has already been made, it will be terminated without prior notice.
• Apart from the consolidated honorarium provided to contractual employees, no other allowances—such as Dearness Allowance (DA) or House Rent Allowance (HRA)—will be admissible.
• Candidates must submit a marriage registration certificate or a gazette notification regarding any change of name. Alternatively, married female candidates may apply using their pre-marriage name.
• At the time of appointment, the candidate will be required to execute an agreement on a stamp paper worth Rs. 500/-.
• The candidate will be entitled to weekly off days (as per the schedule of the assigned department) and 15 days of casual leave per calendar year; no other type of leave is permissible.

• As the appointment is contractual in nature, the appointee cannot approach any court of law regarding the employment. 
• The appointee cannot claim any right to permanent service within the Municipal Corporation, nor will they be entitled to any benefits associated with regular service.
• The Dean, LTMG Hospital, reserves the right to terminate the contract without prior notice if the candidate's performance is found to be unsatisfactory during the contract period.
• The candidate must mark their attendance daily via the biometric system according to their duty schedule; failure to do so will result in them being marked absent. Unauthorized absence will be treated as Leave Without Pay (LWP).
• If the candidate is found to have committed an act of indiscipline during the tenure of this contractual appointment, their appointment will be cancelled immediately.
• If the selected candidate wishes to resign from the post for any reason, they are required to provide 15 days' prior notice.
• The Dean, LTMG Hospital, reserves the right to halt the selection process at any stage or time due to administrative or other reasons.
• Work will have to be performed in three shifts in any department of the hospital at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital and Medical College, Sion, Mumbai - 22.
• A one-day break in service will be implemented every 90 days during the contractual service period.
