The National Institute of Animal Biotechnology is an Indian autonomous research establishment of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology. The NIAB was set up in Hyderabad, India, under the leadership of Prof. Pallu Reddanna.

Animal biotechnology, Parasite Biology, Epigenetics, Reproduction & Production, Stem cell, Omics and Bioinformatics
ELIGIBILITY
• Candidates must have a Master's degree (M.Sc./M.Tech./M.V.Sc./M.Pharm. or M.B.B.S or B. Tech. degree) in any branch of Life Sciences with a consistently good academic record.
• Applicants must have qualified a national-level examination such as CSIR/UGC-JRF, DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF, INSPIRE JRF or UGC-RGNF or any other national research fellowship for 05 years.
INFRASTRUCTURE AT NIAB
• Central Instrumentation Facility : SEM / TEM / Confocal Microscope / Super Resolution Microscope / FACS / LC MS-MS HCS.
• Animal Resource and Experimental Facility: for experimentation on Mice, Rat & Rabbit models.
• Large Animal Farm: for experimentation on goat and cow models.
• BSL-3 and Animal BSL2 Facilities : to perform experiments on different types of human/animal pathogens.
• Central Transgenic Facility : for facilitating research with transgenic animal models.
• Radio Isotope Facility.
