NBRC invites applications from Biotechnology and Life Sciences candidates

NATIONAL BRAIN RESEARCH CENTRE (NBRC) invites application for the position of “Research Associate I under the project β-phenylethylamine (β-PEA) and TAAR-1 pathway as a plausible pharmacological target against Huntington's disease.

Interested candidate fulfilling the following requirements can submit duly filled in application as per attached format along with CV and self-attested copies of certificates in support of their qualifications and experience latest by date to “The Administrative Officer (Academics), National Brain Research Centre, Nainwal Mode, Gurugram-122052 (Haryana)”.

Post : Research Associate-I (One Post)

Essential Qualification : The applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Science or Engineering, or an M.D./ M.S. degree in any area of medicine, with research interests in Biotechnology and Life Sciences, and a good academic record with at least one first-author publication arising from PhD work. The applicants who have already submitted the Ph.D./ M.D./ M.S. thesis are also eligible to apply. However, such applicants, if selected, will be offered a lower fellowship amount till they qualify for the eligible degree as evident by completion of thesis defense. 

Desirable experience : Candidates with experience in physiology and cell biology with an additional skill set in molecular pharmacology, cell culture, CRISPR, and mouse handling will be preferred. 

Fellowship : ₹ 45,000/- + HRA as per applicable (RA Provisional -Ph.D Thesis Submitted candidate) & ₹ 58,000/- + HRA as per applicable (RA- Ph.D candidate)

Age limit : Maximum 40 years (as on the last date of receipt of application) 
Project Investigator : Dr. Bhavani Shankar Sahu 
Tenure : The post is co-terminus with the project. 
Accommodation : Accommodation may be provided as per rules of NBRC, subject to availability.

Note :
1. No TA/DA will be payable to the candidates for attending the interview
2. Only candidates who are shortlisted will be called for an interview.
3. Candidate are required to attach copies of their self-attested certificates of qualification & experience in support of the claims made by them in their application, failing which their application shall summarily stand rejected without any intimation.
