NBRC invites application for the post of Research Associate under DBT funded project

NATIONAL BRAIN RESEARCH CENTRE (NBRC) invites application for the position of Research Associate I under DBT funded project “Investigating the role of long non-coding RNAs in inhibitory synapse dysfunction and motor deficit in autism: Identification of new RNA -based therapeutic targets for autism”.

Post : Research Associate-I

No. of positions : One

Essential Qualification : The applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Science or Engineering, or an M.D./M.S. degree in any area of medicine, with research interests in Neuroscience, and a good academic record with at least one first-author publication arising from PhD work.

Desirable experience : Candidates with experience in animal handling or in uetro electroporation or animal behaviour or primary neuronal culture or cell culture will be preferred. In addition to this desirable criteria, experience with confocal microscopy, biochemical fractionation of cellular oragenelles or CRISPR or shRNA -mediated gene manipulation, lentivirus or Adeno Associated Virus -mediated genetic manipulation will be valuable addition to acquired expertise

Age limit : Maximum 40 years (as on the last date of receipt of application).
Project Investigator : Dr. Sourav Banerjee, BRIC-NBRC
Tenure : The tenure will be for one year and renewable for two more years upon successful review of performance. The post is co-terminus with the project
Accommodation : Accommodation may be provided as per rules of NBRC, subject to availability.

Fellowship : ₹ 58,000/- + HRA per month. No other allowances are applicable.
