Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) a Public Sector Undertaking of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, and Government of India has been entrusted the responsibility of implementing this Program. It will house the Program Management Unit (PMU) that would work as an operational and functional arm to oversee and monitor program implementation.

Consolidated Remuneration : Between Rs.90,000/- to Rs.2,70,000/- Lump sum per month depending on Qualifications and Experience.

Job Description : The Selected person will support the team in overall execution of MII cell activities, coordinate stakeholder’s interaction and responsible for data analysis and reports preparation required for policy level inputs.
Tenure : Biotechnology Industry Facilitation Cell Program Management Unit (PMU) for Make In India is set up by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) at BIRAC. This position is purely temporary (on contractual basis) and co-terminus with the project. The present duration of the project is up to Sept, 2026.
Functional Objective : To monitor industrial trends and provide data-driven insights on the biotech economy.
Reporting : The person will be reporting to Mission Director – MII

Eligibility :
Essential Qualifications : Master in Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/Pharma/Management/Health Innovation/ Public Policy or any other related area.
Desirable Qualifications : Ph.D in one of the above mentioned area.
Experience : Post Qualification, 6-8 years of experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience in policy research, communication & Medical report writing. Proven expertise and experience conducting primary and secondary research and generating actionable insights from research findings (2-3 years); expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Age Limit : 38 years as on closing date of vacancy.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct market research and impact analysis of ongoing bio-manufacturing initiatives.
• Compile technical reports on sector-specific growth, revenue trends, and industrial vitality.
• Track global technology advancements to align domestic policy with international standards
