Banaras Hindu University is an internationally reputed temple of learning, situated in the holy city of Varanasi. This creative and innovative university was founded by the great nationalist leader, Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, in 1916, through close cooperation with great personalities like Dr Annie Besant, who viewed it as the University of India. Banaras Hindu University was established by the Parliamentary legislation-B.H.U. Act 1915.
Post : Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
Applications are invited for the post of a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) (01) with emolument of Rs.30,000/- per month (fixed) in an Institution of Eminence-BHU sponsored Project (Bridge Grant) sanctioned for one year. The post is temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Essential Qualifications : The candidates should have at least 55% in both B.Sc. and M.Sc. The M.Sc. degree should be in Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Zoology / Molecular and Human Genetics / Life Sciences / Microbiology / Bioinformatics. Two years research experience in the areas of above subjects is mandatory.
Age Limit : The upper age limit is 32 years as on last date of advertisement and relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/Divyangjan/Female candidates. All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.
