Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is one of the Twenty Three IITs created to be Centres of Excellence for training, research and development in science, engineering and technology in India.  Established as College of Engineering in 1961, the Institute was later declared as an Institution of National Importance under the Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963 and was renamed as “Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. It was then accorded the status of a Deemed University with powers to decide its own academic policy, to conduct its own examinations, and to award its own degrees.

Applications from Indian nationals are invited for project appointment under the following project. Appointment shall be on contractual basis with consolidated pay, renewable yearly or upto the duration of the project, whichever is earlier.

Salary : Rs.1,20,000/-p.m. (consolidated) 

Qualification : Ph.D. Degree in Biotechnology / Life Science / Molecular biology/ any other relevant fields or Post Graduate Degree in Biotechnology/ Life Science/ Molecular biology/ relevant fields along with at least 6 years of research experience.

Roles & Responsibilities :
• Development of Aptamer-based iosensors and its infield validation.
• Perform aptamer screening and characterization using SELEX/HT- SELEX approaches.
• Demonstration of technology and preparation of SOPs and liaising with R&D sectors for scale up.
• Interaction with various stake holders and Doner and updating research status and results to the Doner.

Functional experience & competencies :
• Experience in Aptamer technology, biosensors, nanoparticle-based assays,RT-PCR and molecular biology,  Knowledge of SELEX, Aptamer analysis, Lateral flow assay development, electrochemical biosensor, Enzyme-linked Apta-Assay (ELAA), and NGS data interpretation using Apta-Suite/ similar software.
• Experience in scientific writing and patent applications.
• Professional experience working with international donor organizations, development partners, and government organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills C Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
