Project Title : Developing PolQ- Proteolysis Targeting chimeras (PROTAC) for treatment of head-neck cancers by inhibiting microhomology mediated end joining DNA repair pathway

Fellowship / salary : The candidate will be paid a stipend of Rs. 28,000 + 20% HRA per month.
Funding agency : Indian Council of Medical Research
Duration : The initial appointment will be for 1 year. The contract will be renewable subject to satisfactory performance and project requirements. Total project duration is 3 years.

Essential minimum qualification
(i) First class in M.Pharm/M.S. (Pharm)/M.Tech(Pharm)/M.Tech in Medicinal Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Chemistry; OR
(ii) second class M.Pharm/M.S. (Pharm)/M.Tech(Pharm)/M.Tech in Medicinal Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Chemistry along with one year research experience. Aforementioned qualification(s) must be from the recogonized Board/University/Institute.

Desirable qualification, if any
Candidate qualified in GATE/GPAT/CSIR-UGC- NET, including lectureship or equivalent examination and having experience in drug design, NCEs synthesis, strong organic synthesis background will be given preference.
