Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for the position of One (01) Project Associate – I/ Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the research project titled “Omics-guided mapping of polyphenol-derived metabolites as sustainable antimicrobials against MDR bacteria” (File No. ANRF/ECRG/2025/000832/LS) funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) under the Prime Minister Early Career Research Grant (PMECRG) Program.

Qualifications
Essential : Four-Year Bachelor’s Degree/ Master’s Degree in Microbiology/ Bioinformatics/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Botany/Environmental Sciences/ or other relevant fields in Life Sciences with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade.
Desirable : (i) Research experience (academic institutions/industrial/recog nized R&D laboratories) in Microbiology, Natural Products, Metabolomics, and/or antimicrobial research.
(ii) Familiarity with omics approaches (genomics, metabolomics, proteomics), HPLC/LC- MS/GC-MS instrumentation, or bioinformatics tools.
(iii) Publications in peer- reviewed journals (if any).

Duration : up to 36 months (Co-terminus with project).

Upper Age limit (Years) : 50

*Monthly Emolument (Rs) : (i) Rs. 37000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through; (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET (JRF/LS) or GATE or DBT-JRF or ICMR-JRF or equivalent national-level examination qualified in the last 1 Year.
OR
(b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments, their Agencies, and Institutions. (ii) 30,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

IMPORTANT NOTE : As per the ANRF norms for Research Personnels; (1) Age relaxation shall be provided to women candidates/ candidates with disabilities/ candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories; (2) Selected candidate will be subjected to the annual renewal of the contract on yearly basis (1+1+1) years, contingent upon satisfactory performance as assessed by the Principal Investigator and requirements of the project.

Screening & Interview Process : Candidates will be shortlisted based on their merit and in accordance with the project's requirements. Mere fulfilment of eligibility criteria does not guarantee shortlisting. The interview shall be conducted through online/offline (or hybrid) mode. Shortlisted candidates will be informed in advance via email only. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
