ANRF Life Sciences, Biotechnology Fellowship at BITS Goa Campus

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Biological Sciences at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa for an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) sponsored research project titled “CHIKV SANKALP: Building a Self-reliant Antiviral, Nanovaccine, and Replicon-based Knowledge Platform for India's Laboratory Preparedness against Chikungunya Virus” (ANRF/ECRG/2025/002221/LS).

Post : Junior Research Fellow position under ANRF funded project

Principal Investigator : Aryamav Pattnaik, BVSc & AH, PhD
Broad area of Research : Chikungunya Virus (CHIKV) Vaccine Development, Drug Development, Host- CHIKV Interaction
Duration of the project : 3 years

Fellowship Amount (Rs.) : (i) Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA for the first two years and Rs. 42,000/- per month + HRA for the third year for candidates fulfilling qualification criteria mentioned under (a) and (b).
(ii) Rs. 30,000/- per month + HRA for the first two years and Rs. 33,000/- per month + HRA for the third year for candidates fulfilling qualification criterion mentioned under (a) but not under (b).
Accommodation : Hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the Institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate. Research fellow residing in hostel will not be entitled for HRA.

Qualification : (a) M.E / M.Tech, MVSc, M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Life Science / Virology / immunology or allied disciplines from a recognized University / Institute or equivalent.
(b) Qualified (with valid score) in DBT-JRF/BET or CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or DST-INSPIRE or ICAR-JRF, or GATE.
