The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), SAS Nagar is an autonomous institute of National importance set up by the Government of India, under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers by an Act of Parliament, to impart higher education and undertake advanced research in the field of pharmaceutical sciences, technology and management.

Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for one position of Post-Doctoral Fellow/Research Associate (Formulation & Development) under the project titled “Development of Directly Compressible Crystal Grade Materials” [SP-230] sponsored by Granules India Limited (GIL) under the supervision of Prof. Arvind Kumar Bansal, Academic Supervisor, CCE-ISPD, NIPER, SAS Nagar.

In an effort to promote science and industry-academia collaboration, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) and Granules India Limited (GIL) are coming together to set up “Dr. Chigurupati Center for Excellence in Innovative and Sustainable Pharmaceutical Development (CCE-ISPD) Center” at NIPER, SAS Nagar with the specific objective of establishing a research center to develop and promote innovative formulation technologies in pharmaceuticals with a focus on sustainability. The Center’s research domains will encompass, among other things, exploration of plant-based excipients, advancement in polymer-free pharmaceutical formulations, research on directly compressible crystals, promotion of solvent-free pharmaceutical processes. NIPER, SAS Nagar is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a center of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Government of India has declared NIPER as an institute of national importance. GIL is engaged in the business of developing, manufacturing and marketing pharmaceutical products including tablets, pharmaceutical formulation intermediates (PFIs) and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in various jurisdictions on a global scale.

Essential Qualification and Experience : Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related areas. OR M.Pharm. or equivalent in Pharmaceutics or related areas, with 3 years of experience in relevant area. Candidates having experience in the area of oral solid dosage forms encompassing pre-formulation profiling, formulation and development, process development shall be preferred.

Age limit : Not more than 35 years (age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD is as per GoI rules. The candidates are required to attach valid proof for claiming relaxation as per the guidelines prescribed by the Government of India from time to time).

Fellowship : Rs. 65,000/-p.m. + HRA Rs. 13,000/- p.m.

• The engagement is full time and purely temporary for all intent and purposes initially for a period of 01 year and extendable to 03 years subject to availability of funds and on the satisfactory performance of the candidate and/or co-terminus with the duration of the project.

• Hard copy of application form can be submitted through Speed Post/Registered Post/Courier/By Hand on or before 30.06.2025 (Monday).
• Candidates are required to attach the valid proof of deposit of the prescribed application fee, wherever applicable, with the application form. The application form received without valid proof of deposit of the prescribed application fee will be summarily rejected and no representation/request shall be entertained in this regard.
• Candidates with incomplete application or without relevant supporting enclosures (i.e. self-attested copies of degree / certificates / marks sheets / experience certificate/ reprint of important publications, without photographs, signatures and prescribed fee) will not be interviewed.
• The candidature will be considered as invalid, ab-initio, in case he/she does not fulfil the eligibility criteria.
