AIIMS Jodhpur is one of the SIX NEW AIIMS established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) with the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education. PMSSY planned to set up 6 new AIIMS like institutions in under served areas of the country.

Applications in the prescribed format are invited for the following posts on purely temporary basis for the Extramural Research Project entitled Infectious Disease Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (IRDL) under Principal Investigator Dr. Vibhor Tak, Additional Professor & Head, Department of Microbiology, AIIMS, Jodhpur as per the details given below:-
Project Research Scientist- II (Medical)
Number of the Post : 01 (UR)
Minimum Essential Qualification : MBBS/BVSc/BDS with three years’ experience Or MBBS/BVSc/BDS with MPH or PhD Or MBBS/BVSc/BDS + Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees
Desirable Qualification : • MD/DNB in Microbiology.
• Additional research / training experience in the field of Microbiology, in a government institution after obtaining essential qualification of at least 1 year
Consolidated Remuneration : 80,000/- + 20% HRA (Increment as admissible as per ICMR norms)
Tenure : 09 Months
Age Limit : 40 year

Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
Number of the Post : 02 (UR)
Minimum Essential Qualification : First Class Post Graduate Degree in Microbiology or Biotechnology including the integrated PG degrees Or Second Class Post Graduate Degree in Microbiology or Biotechnology, including the integrated PG degree with PhD in Microbiology
Desirable Qualification : • PhD in Microbiology from a recognized university for candidates with first class Post Graduate Degree in Microbiology or Biotechnology.
• Additional research / training experience in the field of Microbiology, in a government institution after obtaining essential qualification of at least 1 year
Consolidated Remuneration : 56,000+ 20% HRA (Increment as admissible as per ICMR norms))
Tenure : 09 Months
Age Limit : 35 year

Senior Project Assistant
Number of the Post : 01 (UR)
Minimum Essential Qualification : 1st class Master’s degree in Biotechnology or Microbiology from a recognized university
Desirable Qualification : Previous Microbiology Research experience of at least 1 year
Consolidated Remuneration : Rs. 30,600/- per month (consolidated)
Tenure : 09 Months
Age Limit : 30 year

Project Technical Support-III
Number of the Post : 03 (UR)
Minimum Essential Qualification : Three years Graduate degree (BMLT) + three years’ experience preferably in a government institution or PG (MSc MLT) / MSc Microbiology.
Desirable Qualification : Microbiology Lab Experience
Consolidated Remuneration : 28,000+20% HRA (Increment as admissible as per ICMR norms)
Tenure : 09 Months
Age Limit : 35 year

General Terms & Conditions
1. Reporting time for candidate’s starts on 16th June 2025 at 09.00 AM and closing time to report for interview is 09:30 AM on the same day, after which no additional candidates would be entertained for interview.
2. The above posts are filled-up on purely on temporary basis, co-terminus with the project & the candidate will have NO right to claim for permanent Employment under AIIMS, Jodhpur or continuation of his/her services in any other project.
3. No enquiries shall be entertained in this regard after due date.
4. All educational professional and technical qualification should be from a recognized Board/ University and full-time.
5. The experience requirement specified should be experience acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications required for the post.
6. Persons working in Govt. or Public Sector undertaking should produce “No Objection Certificate” at the time of Interview.
7. No TA/DA will be admissible to appear in the interview.
8. This position will be purely on temporary/contractual basis for the specified period of time and based on project.
9. The salary is a consolidated sum without any other benefits and it is based on experience, qualifications, skill set, etc. of the candidates.
10. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
11. Age concession to the extent of service rendered in other research projects may be admissible for experienced and skilled persons on case to case basis.
12. Age / Education qualification / Experience will be considered till the last date of the advertisement.
13. The contract service will not confer any right for further assignment or regular appointment in the institute.
