The origins of the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) are rooted in the Indian Cancer Research Centre (ICRC), which was established in 1952 in Parel, Mumbai, under the purview of the Ministry of Health, Government of India. In 1966, ICRC was renamed the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) and amalgamated with the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), creating the first comprehensive cancer centre in India - the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.

To work on the project titled : “Preclinical Development & Clinical Manufacturing of CAR NK Cells for Hematological Malignancies”

Essential Educational Qualification & Experience :
• Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR
• Graduate/Post Graduate Degree Professional Course selected through any one of the following: a. CSIR-UGC NET (including Assistant Professorship) and GATE b. Selected through national level examination conducted by Central Government or agencies (ICMR, DBT, DAE, DST, IIT, IISER, NISER, IISc etc.) qualified
Preferred Experience : Candidates with any of the following relevant experience (even 1–2) will be given preference :
• Experience in experience in CAR T-cell or CAR NK-cell research,
• Hands-on expertise in NK cell isolation, expansion, and genetic modification (lentiviral vectors, gene editing), FACS analytical assays.
• Experience in GMP-compliant manufacturing of CAR T & CAR-NK and knowledge of GMP principles & operations , product characterization, and quality control for clinical-grade products.
• Experience with animal models of hematological malignancies, including leukemia and lymphoma xenografts, toxicity and safety profiling
Salary : Rs. 46,990/-p.m. (Rs. 37,000/- + 27%HRA).
Duration : 6 months with further extension depending on satisfactory performance.
