The origins of the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) are rooted in the Indian Cancer Research Centre (ICRC), which was established in 1952 in Parel, Mumbai, under the purview of the Ministry of Health, Government of India. In 1966, ICRC was renamed the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) and amalgamated with the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), creating the first comprehensive cancer centre in India - the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.

Project : “Rapid and Affordable Diagnostics for stratifying Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (RADICAL)”
Description : Prospective four year ICMR funded study which will develop long-read nanopore sequencing diagnostics for acute leukemia using fusion detection, low-pass whole genome sequencing, and methylation- based classifiers using artificial intelligence/machine learning. This is a wet lab person requirement. You will get extensive experience in Wetlab Sample Processing, and Nanopore library preparation (using Promethion and MinIon)
Education Qualification : M.Sc. in the relevant biotechnology or life science field with 1 year experience.
Age Limit : Upto 35 years
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 36,400/-p.m. (Rs.28,000 + HRA@30%)
Duration : Six Months & Extendable.
