Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) is a premier institute of science and technology established in 2008. Post : Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (Carbon Capture and Utilization) under CLEANZ CoE
Type of Position : The position is for one year, with an extension subject to performance through a review process.
Fellowship : Consolidated pay Rs. 70,680 to Rs 85,000 per month (including HRA) based on post- doc experience
Experience : Fresh Ph.D. (at least provisional degree certificate awarded)/ preferably with some post-doc Experience
Eligibility : • Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Chemical Engg/Climate Change or other allied areas.
• Experience with handling chromatography instruments preferred.
• Experience with electrochemistry preferred.
• Publication in Scopus indexed journals will have an added advantage.
• Candidates who have previous experience in designing and developing experimental setups preferred
• The candidate should have good academic records throughout and good writing/communication skills.
• Candidates should not have published in Predatory Journals.
Job Description
• Design and development of a prototype of a bioelectrochemical system for the conversion of CO2 into fuels and chemicals.
• Determination of CO2 uptake and influence of other components in the flue gas on CO2 uptake
• Identification and optimization of lipid producing strains, enhancement of lipid in cells and extraction
• Report preparation, article writing and lab management.
