Senior Project Associate

Essential Qualifications : Doctoral Degree in Science from a recognized University or equivalent
Basic Salary : 42000 and HRA
Experience : 24 Months

Work Description : The candidate will conduct comprehensive whole exome sequencing (WES) analysis and interpretation including quality control, alignment (BWA), and variant calling (GATK), annotation, filtering and prioritization, phenotype-genotype correlations using HPO terms and variant classification using ACMG guidelines. Work will also include coordination with clinicians and genetic counselors to correlate molecular findings with patient presentations. The role also involves genomic DNA extraction from blood/tissues, PCR, gel electrophoresis, Sanger sequencing, library prep and RT-PCR.
Desirable Qualification : Proficiency in next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis tools (BWA, SAMtools, GATK). Experience with variant annotation platforms (ANNOVAR, VEP) and clinical databases (ClinVar, OMIM, gnomAD, HGMD). Familiarity with command-line environments (Linux), and scripting languages (Python or R). Skilled in molecular biology techniques such as DNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, Sanger sequencing, and primer design will be a bonus.
