Educational Qualifications : Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular biology, Immunology, Biotechnology, or related fields. NET-JRF or equivalent National-Level Fellowship examination qualification is desirable.
Job description :
• This project aims to explore the therapeutic and mechanistic implications of PMM2 knockout in neuroblastoma. The study involves CRISPR-Cas9-mediated gene editing, functional validation (e.g., enzymatic assays, Western blotting), and analysis of glycosylation pathways in tumour biology.
• Molecular Biology: Experience with PCR, DNA extraction, and cloning techniques. Familiarity with CRISPR/Cas9 or other gene editing tools is beneficial.
• Cell Culture: Experience with mammalian cell culture and transfection techniques (e.g. electroporation). Familiarity with Flow Cytometry is beneficial.
• Bioinformatics: Basic understanding of bioinformatics tools for data analysis.
Emoluments : The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute Rules, depending upon qualifications & experience Rs. 42,000/- per month plus 27% HRA (As per DST OM dated 26.06.2023)
General Terms & Conditions :
1. The candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for one year or duration of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
2. No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.
3. Applicants may clearly mention the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PH and attach documentary proof of the same.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for.
