King Georges Medical University, formerly Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University, is a medical school located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. It came into being after the upgrade of King George's Medical College into a university by an act passed by government of Uttar Pradesh on 16 September 2002.

Post : Project Research Scientist II (Medical/ Non-Medical)

Name of Project : Strengthening and upgradation of existing VRDLs for infectious disease diagnosis and research (IRDL)

Qualifications
Project Research Scientist II (Medical)
Essential : MBBS / BVSc / BDS with 3 years post qualification experience in relevant subject / field Or MBBS / BVSc / BDS + Post Graduate Degree (MD / MVSc /MDS / MPH) or any equivalent degree, including integrated PG degree Or MBBS / BVSc / BDS with PhD.
Desirable : Preference will be given to the candidate with experience in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Life Sciences.
Or
Project Research Scientist II (Non-Medical)
Essential : Post Graduate Degree in Life sciences, including the integrated PG degree, with 3 years post qualification experience Or PhD in Life Sciences / Biotechnology.
Desirable : Preference will be given to the candidate with at least 3 years research experience after PhD in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Life Sciences from recognized University/Institute.

Emoluments : Project Research Scientist II (Medical) : Rs. 80.000 -+20% HRA per month.
Project Research Scientist II (Non-Medical) : Rs. 67,000/-+20% HRA per month.

The above positions arc purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis. The selected candidates shall have no right /claim for regular appointment at this Institute, as the engagement is co-terminus with the project.
