Advertisement for Research Scientist and Technical Support at NIPER

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), SAS Nagar is an autonomous institute of National importance set up by the Government of India, under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers by an Act of Parliament, to impart higher education and undertake advanced research in the field of pharmaceutical sciences, technology and management.

Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for the following temporary positions under the project entitled “Celiac Disease Care Optimization and gluten- Restriction Execution (Ced-CORE)” (GP-485) sponsored by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), under the supervision of Prof. Tarun Kumar Sharma, Department of Medical Devices, NIPER-SAS Nagar. The positions are purely on temporary basis initially for a period of 1 (one) year, extendable on yearly basis on the satisfactory performance of the candidates for a maximum period of 03 (three) years and is co-terminus with the duration of the project.

Project Research Scientist-I (Non- Medical)
Age Limit : 35 years
Remunerations : Rs. 56,000/- p.m. + HRA, as admissible
Essential Qualification : Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees such as M. Sc. (Biotechnology/ Microbiology / Medical Biotechnology) or M. Tech. (Biotechnology) or any allied area of science.
Remunerations : Candidates having experience in the Development of diagnostic assays, aptamers, antibodies will be given preference.

Project Research Scientist-II (Non- Medical)
Age Limit : 40 years
Remunerations : Rs. 67,000/- p.m. + HRA, as admissible
Essential Qualification : Post Graduate degree such as M. Sc. (Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Medical Biotechnology) or M. Tech. (Biotechnology) or any allied area of science with 3 years of post-qualification research experience or Ph.D.
Remunerations : Candidates having experience in the Development of diagnostic assays, aptamers, antibodies, protein biochemistry and molecular biology will be given preference.

Project Technical Support-III
Age Limit : 35 years
Remunerations : Rs. 28,000/- p.m. + HRA, as admissible
Essential Qualification : Post Graduate (PG) degree such as M. Sc. (Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Medical Biotechnology) or M. Tech. (Biotechnology)
Remunerations : Candidates having experience of protein biochemistry, molecular biology and diagnostics

• The engagement is full time and purely temporary for all intent and purposes initially for a period of 01 year and extendable on yearly basis on the satisfactory performance of the candidate for a maximum period of 03 (three) years and is co-terminus with the duration of the project.
• The interviews will be held on-line and only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Interview call letters will be sent through e-mail only. • Last date of receipt of application form is 30.06.2025 (Monday) by 05:00 pm. Hard copy of application form can be submitted through Speed Post/Registered Post/Courier/By Hand on or before 30.06.2025 (Monday).
• Candidates are required to attach the valid proof of deposit of the prescribed application fee, wherever applicable, with the application form. The application form received without valid proof of deposit of the prescribed application fee will be summarily rejected and no representation/request shall be entertained in this regard.
• Candidates with incomplete application or without relevant supporting enclosures (i.e. self-attested copies of degree / certificates / marks sheets / experience certificate/ reprint of important publications, without photographs, signatures and prescribed fee) will not be interviewed.
• The candidature will be considered as invalid, ab-initio, in case he/she does not fulfil the eligibility criteria. Candidate should satisfy himself/herself regarding the possession of required qualification, age, experience, etc., as stipulated above, as on the last date of receipt of application, before appearing in on-line interview, if shortlisted.
• Since, the interviews will be conducted through on-line mode, therefore, the joining of the selected candidate will be subject to verification of educational and experience certificates, testimonials, etc. from the originals at the time of joining.
• Age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC / PwBD etc. will be as per the Government of India rules. The candidates are required to attach valid proof for claiming relaxation as per the guidelines prescribed by the Government of India from time to time.
• In exceptionally meritorious cases or under special circumstances, the eligibility requirements of age, educational qualification and experience for the position may be relaxed by the competent authority.
• The process of selection may include presentation and/or interview or any other process as decided by the competent authority.
• The Institute reserves the right to withdraw advertised position at any time without assigning any reason. Institute also reserves the right to fill or not to fill position and its decision in this regard shall be final.
• The Institute will NOT be responsible for non-receipt of application(s) within the stipulated date due to any postal delay/loss of application/document sent in transit. Late receipt of applications may not be considered and applications received after due date i.e. 30.06.2025 (Monday) shall not be entertained at any circumstances.
