The mandate of the Institute is to address the reproductive health issues of national and global relevance. The institute was established with an objective to develop novel and efficacious modalities for fertility regulation through research and thereby assist the government in its mission to stem the population boom. In the past four decades, however, the institute has grown beyond the mandate with which it was entrusted at the time of its genesis.
Post : Project Research Scientist-I (Non- Medical)
Title of project :- Development of a point of care electrochemical biosensor for the estimation of autoantibodies for antiphospholipid syndrome"
Consolidated Remuneration :- Rs.72,800/- (Rs.56000/- plus 30% HRA)
Essential qualification : Post Graduate Degree in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Life Sciences, including the integrated PG degrees.
Duration :- One Year (further extendable for another two years)
Desirable & Job responsibilities :-
• Candidates with minimum of one year experience in biosensor development, ELISA and other molecular biology techniques will be given preference.
• To carry out experiments related to electrode surface modifications, running ELISA assays, running tests on biosensors, participant recruitment and sample collection.
• The selected candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive execution of the project, data handling and management.
