The origins of the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) are rooted in the Indian Cancer Research Centre (ICRC), which was established in 1952 in Parel, Mumbai, under the purview of the Ministry of Health, Government of India. In 1966, ICRC was renamed the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) and amalgamated with the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), creating the first comprehensive cancer centre in India - the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.

Post : Research Fellow (On Project)

Project Title : “Predictive Clinical Features and Molecular Markers for Tumour Response and Treatment Outcomes Post NACT in HPV-negative Oral Cancers.” (Joint project of Dr Poonam Joshi, Dr Manoj B. Mahimkar)

Educational Qualification :- MSc degree (2-year course only) in Life Science or related subjects (Biotechnology, Microbiology, Medical genetics, Life sciences, Biochemistry, Zoology, etc.). Candidates with an M.Sc. degree with a duration of one year will not be considered.

Experience: - Candidates with a minimum of one year of experience in the following laboratory techniques only should apply. Minimum one year of experience in molecular biology techniques, including immunohistochemistry, DNA and RNA extraction from human tissue and blood, ELISA, and qPCR. is must. Candidates having experience in next-gen sequencing, library preparation will be preferred. Candidates must also be proficient in maintaining experimental records using EXCL / SPSS.

Consolidated Salary : Rs. 32,000-42,000/- per month. (Depending on Experience) 

Duration : Six months and extendable. The work progress of candidates will be monitored for extension after six months.
