The origins of the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) are rooted in the Indian Cancer Research Centre (ICRC), which was established in 1952 in Parel, Mumbai, under the purview of the Ministry of Health, Government of India. In 1966, ICRC was renamed the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) and amalgamated with the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), creating the first comprehensive cancer centre in India - the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.

Project Title: -“Animal Oncology Research Project”
Essential Educational Qualification & Experience: - *Post Graduation in Sciences (M.Pharm, Life Sciences Biotechnology, Nuclear Medicine) with 65% marks. Candidate Should have minimum 1year work experience in a Research Laboratory in cell culture and animal experimentation.
Job Responsibilities : Laboratory animal handling and experimentation, execute research projects focused on cancer biology, diagnostics, and therapeutics in animals (especially laboratory animals and companion animals like dogs). Research sample collection, processing, and analysis (e.g., cytology, histopathology, molecular diagnostics). Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures, results, and statistical analyses. *M.Sc. degree having a duration of one-year course will not be considered. Selected candidates will have to join at the earliest; hence result-awaited candidates will not be eligible to apply for the post.
Duration : Six months.
The work progress of candidates will be monitored and extension may be given.
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 27,000/- Rs. 54,000/- p.m. (depending on experience)
