The seed for the establishment and growth of TANUVAS was sown as early as 1876, when the Madras Veterinary College was started as an Agricultural School in Chennai to offer diploma and certificate course in the field of veterinary and animal sciences. The institute attained the status of a college in the year 1903 (01.10.1903), when it started functioning at Dobbin Hall, Chennai and admitted 20 students for a three-year diploma course called GMVC (Graduate of Madras Veterinary College).
Post : Senior Research Fellow
A walk-in interview would be held for one number of Senior Research Fellow to work in Self-Financing Scheme of Animal Feed Analytical and Quality Assurance Laboratory, Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal-637002. The post is purely on temporary need basis and the recruited SRF should not claim any regular employment thereafter. The qualification and remuneration are as follows.
Remuneration : Rs.31000/- per month For I and II year and Rs.35,000 /- per month for the third year+ Admissible HRA
Qualification : Post graduate degree in Chemistry (General, Organic, Inorganic or Analytical) or Post graduate in Biotechnology /Biochemistry Preference: Operational experience of LC- MS/MS, GCMS, A AS, UPLC for residue analysis.
• Filled in application in the prescribed format should be brought along with relevant original certificates to the Professor and Head, Animal Feed Analytical and Quality Assurance Laboratory, Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal - 637 002 on the day of walk-in interview i.e. on 15.06.2022 at 10.00 AM preceded by a MCQ type written test.
• The upper age limit for male candidate is 35 years and for the female candidate is 40 years.
• Candidate should bring the recent passport size photo and submit attested photo copies of certificates in support of educational qualifications/technical qualifications and community.
• No TA/DA will be paid for the candidates preferring to attend the interview. Candidates are informed to make own arrangements for their stay for attending interview.
• Mere application for attending the interview does not guarantee the appointment and the selection will be based purely on merit basis. Candidates are requested to produce all original certificates (degree certificate, proof of age and experience, publications and other testimonials that certify their competency to work in the project) at the time of interview for verification.
• The candidate should have knowledge to speak, read and write Tamil.
• The appointment is made purely on temporary basis with a condition to terminate the appointment without giving any prior notice and the candidates should not claim any university service.
• The selection committee reserves the right not to select any candidate in the event of non-availability of eligible candidates.
