About DBT Boost to University Interdisciplinary Life Science Departments for Education and Research (DBT BUILDER) programme
The DBT BUILDER programme fosters interaction between the existing departments of universities invigorating interdisciplinary modern bioscience research through creation of new research agenda aiming to develop world-class school of life science in universities doing both advanced research and education.

Epigenetics [Malaria Biology] Research Area
Department : Department of Biological Sciences
Investigators : Prof. Shilpi Garg, Prof. AK Das & Prof. Vishal Saxena
No. of Positions : 2
Essential Qualification : • Minimum 60% aggregate in qualifying degree (M.E./ M. Tech in Biotechnology / M.Sc. in Life Sciences / Bio-Sciences / Microbiology or equivalent )
• Candidates should have qualified DBT-BET[Category II]/ GATE/ NET-LS or equivalent examination.
• Proficiency in English with good communication skills is also a major criteria.
Desirable Qualification : Wet lab experience in all Genetic Engineering/ Molecular Biology Techniques with good experience in microbial and animal cell culture handling. Preference will be given to candidates having exposure to malaria parasite culture or any parasitic culture and bioinformatics skills including protein modeling, docking techniques.

Desirable Qualification : Experience in multistep organic synthesis, purification, and characterization of small molecules is essential. Hands on experience in molecular modeling (molecular docking, molecular dynamics, pharmacophore mapping, etc) tools and techniques. Proficiency in English with good communication skills.
