National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hyderabad is an "Institute of National Importance" with proclaimed objectives of becoming Centre of Excellence for advanced research in pharmaceutical sciences. NIPER-Mohali was the first institute established in the year 1998 under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the Govt. of India. Later, the DOP established 6 new NIPERs across the country including NIPER-Hyderabad which started functioning from 19th October 2007, from the premises of erstwhile R&D Centre of IDPL, Balanagar, Hyderabad.
Post : Research Associate III
Applications are invited for a Research Associate III in enzymatic catalysis for organic synthetic transformations, to work under the supervision of Dr. Priyanka Bajaj for a period of up to 12 months. The project involves developing enzymatic catalysts and enabling the small chemical transformations.
Essential Qualifications : The candidate should have a strong interest in understanding enzymes and biocatalysis and have a PhD degree or M.Tech/M.Pharm with 3 or more years of experience; in Molecular Biology (PCR/Cloning) / Biochemistry / Bio-catalysis/Synthetic Chemistry/Chemical Biology prior to taking up the appointment. Experience in organic synthesis and enzymatic catalysis will be preferred.
Salary : 54000/- per month consolidated (as per DST norms)
