Recruitment for M.Pharm, M.Sc in Life Sciences in IASST

Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST) is a premier scientific research organization in the north-east region, conceived and nurtured by the Assam Science Society in its initial years and was inaugurated by Nobel Laureate Dorothy C. Hodgkin on 3rd November 1979. Subsequently, it was supported by the state govt. as its only autonomous R&D institute till March 2009. The institute was taken over in March, 2009 by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt of India as one of its autonomous R&D institute.como montar loja virtual.

Applications are invited for the recruitment of following positions on contractual basis with consolidated pay under DST sponsored collaborative project (with Govt Ayurvedic College, Guwahati, Assam) entitled “Empowerment of Tribal population of selected District of Assam by scientific exploration of Musa balbisiana- a versatile medicinal plant of Northeast” at Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST) Garchuk, Guwahati (Assam).

Project Scientist I
Qualification
Essential : Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) from a recognized University or equivalent (with minimum of 55% marks).
Desirable : Candidates with experience in machines like Seed extractor, fiber extractor & on fibre technology will get preference.
Remuneration per month : Rs. 56,000 + 16% HRA per month

Project Associate I
Qualification
Essential : M.Sc in Biochemistry/Zoology (cell Biology & Molecular Biology)/ M. Pharm (with minimum of 55% marks)
Desirable : Candidates having research experience in medicinal plant/ natural resources and in experimental animal model, Cell culture work will get preference. He/ She will have to conduct the laboratory experiments both in vitro and in vivo, and also help in thetraining programme of the project.
Remuneration per month : Rs. 31,000/ + 16% HRA per month for first and second year and 35,000/ + 16% HRA for third year.

Age Limit : Age limit is 35 years for all positions. The age is to be calculated as on the last date of submission of application. Age limits are relaxable for reserved categories as per GoI norms.

Duration of employment : 3 years for all positions. Appointment will be made initially for one year and extendable each year based on performance and progress of the project. Performance will be evaluated by expert panel on yearly basis.

How to apply : Interested eligible candidate may apply online only within 15 days from the date of publication of advertisement. Only short-listed candidates will be called for interview. The candidate should bring their original marksheets, certificates and other related documents at the time of interview. No TA/ DA will be provided for appearing the interview. The appointment is coterminous with the project.
