Vacancy for Junior Research Fellow and Project Assistant under Punjab State Council for Science & Technology
Punjab State Council for Science & Technology intends to recruit the following project staff under DBT-GOI supported project ‘Setting up of Rural Biotech Innovation and Application Centre in Kandi Area of Punjab’, through Walk-in-Interview to be held on 10.06.2019
Junior Research Fellow : 01 (One)
Qualification & Experience: M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Food Technology/ Life Sciences/ Agricultural and Allied Fields OR B.Tech. in Biotechnology/ Food Technology/ Agricultural Engineering and Allied Fields from recognized University. M.Sc./B.Tech. candidates must be GATE/NET qualified OR have secured minimum 70% marks in Post graduation/graduation respectively. No NET/GATE required for Ph.D/M.Tech. candidates. Should have passed Punjabi at matriculation level. Desirable Qualification: Doctoral Degree in Life Science.
Job Requirement: Junior Research Fellow would be required for coordinating scientific validation/scale up studies, technology demonstration, farmer trainings/ skill development programs, etc.
Salary: Rs. 25,000/- (Including EPF) + 20% HRA
Project Assistant : 01 (One)
Qualification & Experience: M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Food Technology/Life Sciences/ Agriculture and Allied Fields OR B.Tech. in Biotechnology/Food Technology/Agriculture Engineering and Allied Field from recognized University. Candidates with B.Sc in Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Allied areas with one year of experience would also be eligible. Should have passed Punjabi at matriculation level.
Job Requirement: Project Assistant would be required for scouting project area, mobilization of local farmers, provide assistance in setting up of plant & machinery & supervise the farm level activities
Salary: Rs. 22,000/- (Including EPF & HRA) per month (fixed)
The upper age limit for all the above posts shall be 37 years as on 01.01.2019, which will be relaxable up to 45 years in case of persons already in the employment of Punjab Government, other State Government or the Govt. of India. In case of SC/ST/BC candidates, the upper age limit shall be relaxable as per Punjab Govt. rules. The above posts are purely on contractual basis. The selected candidates will be given appointment initially for a period of one year, which may be extended further subject to satisfactory work and conduct till the completion of the project.
